We have a rock star team of volunteers in NewPointe Kids every week! Emily Shoaf is currently serving as an Elementary Coach for our four- and five-year-olds but has jumped into several spots in the past as they’ve needed to be filled. Emily has served at Kids Camp as well. Let’s thank her for her ministry to our next generation!

Ashlynn has accepted Jesus as her Savior, and she writes: “I want to be baptized because, I already have been before at another church, and I was 11 years old. I didn't really take it seriously, and now that I'm older and I actually know what I'm getting into, I want to take it seriously.”

Today I want to be baptized because I want to be closer to God. I want to learn more about God and the Holy Spirit, and I want to have a fresh start in life. I want God to come first in everything I do. I also want to have all my sins forgiven and live my life following God. I know I will not be perfect, but I want to keep growing in my faith and becoming closer to Him. These are the reasons I want to be baptized today. I am excited to take this next step and begin this new part of my life with God.

Sunday, we got to celebrate people going public with their faith through baptism. But baptism is more than a moment in the water. It’s a picture of leaving the old behind and stepping into the new life Jesus offers.

Whatever your story looks like right now, God isn’t finished writing it. We can’t wait to see what He does next.
