Buck's Bridge Community Church

Buck's Bridge Community Church 2927 County Route 14, in the hamlet of Buck's Bridge, Town of Potsdam. We're north of Canton, south Lawrence County, New York.

Buck's Bridge Community Church, also (erroneously) known as Buck's Bridge United Methodist Church, was formerly a Methodist Episcopal church located at Buck's Bridge in St. The church now most closely follows the Congregational Church polity and theology, in a 21st-century progressive and inclusive way. Pastor Dennis Lowe, in a rotation of preachers at the church since 2007, was formally called as

pastor in 2009. The church has worship Sunday evening at 7:30 PM, with communion on the first Sunday of every month. Services are seasonal; for instance, the 2011 schedule ended with the December 4 service, and resumed the following Palm Sunday. The church's building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. It was recently renovated with siding, keeping the look of white clapboard (summer 2010).

Today we send condolences to a great man that helped to get our Church up and going again. Trenton Frost with his family helped with painting and updating the Church years ago.He loved talking with my parents about life after this world. 🙏

Just a reminder that the church is on hiatus until Palm Sunday, which is April 19 this year.

With tonight's Lessons and Carols service, we close for regular services until Palm Sunday. (This is primarily due to the high cost of heating our very old building.) A special thank you Joshua Barkley for playing organ tonight! He did his usual great job.

Church service tonight is cancelled.

The current plan is for the church meeting and dinner to be held at Bud & June's house, at 5 PM. After, we will go to St. Paul's in Waddington to attend the Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service at 7 PM.

This is Father Dennis Lowe, of Buck's Bridge Church. Due to other duties of the clergy members that constitute the Madrid-Waddington Clergy Association, it appears we may not have an Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service for 2018. It is normally the evening of the Sunday before Thanksgiving. This year, that would mean November 18, which is 3 weeks from today. If circumstances change, we will let you know here and in our individual congregational communications. Thank you for understanding.
