🌎 Mission Trip to Costa Rica | April 21- April 29🇨🇷

This spring, Eric, Cayden and I will be traveling to Costa Rica where we will be following and learning alongside missionaries, Kara and Ian Conrey. We are honored to serve under their leadership and be part of what God is doing in that region.

Throughout the week:

✨ Wednesdays – We will lead worship on the beach with women involved in prostitution—women we continue outreach to later in the week. Worship will be in Spanish, the primary language in the area. Our prayer is that they encounter the love and freedom found in Jesus.

✨ Thursdays – Ian will be preaching to youth as he helps equip them to do missionary work. This will equip them to take the gospel to their own region. These gatherings include local community members and those serving on the mission field. It will be a time of encouragement and strengthening.

✨ Fridays – “Joco Night Light” – We will go into the streets alongside local Christians who have been equipped for outreach. Together, we will share the Gospel, pray, and minister directly to people in the community.

We will also be traveling to San Jose to visit the safe house there, to see firsthand where needs exist and how we can help meet them. Our heart is to go prepared—not only to serve, but to give. We want to bring extra finances with us to sow directly into immediate needs as they arise.

There has been a lot of sermons lately about what music we allow to entertain us. If you think that music has no effect on your christian walk then you haven't read your bible. There are many stories of music playing a big part in the breakthrough or healing in the bible.

David played his harp that he used to worship God when he used to tend his sheep to help Saul be released from his tormenting Spirits. It says that the moment he played the tormenting spirits would instantly leave Saul and Saul would be refreshed and well again.

Another story was when Paul and Silas were in prison and they started lifting praises up to God and an earthquake came that was so fierce that their chains fell off and the prison doors were open.

If you feel stuck and don't know why you still feel tortured everyday with things you want to be free from. If you want the shackles that devil uses to keep you bound to fall off and for your prison that you feel trapped in to open, consider what you are letting go into your ears. Just try for a month to only listen to praise and worship music and just watch and see how God turns things around. Some of you might have to praise in a storm, but that storm doesn't seem so scary when you are lifting up your voice to praise God, because when we lift up our voices we are drowning out all the other noise, and we are focusing our thoughts on God and not our situation.
