For the Love of People

“Let all that you do be done with love” (1 Corinthians 16:14, NKJV).

What motivates us to be part of a ministry, church, or CMA? If it is anything other than the love of people and the desire to see Christ’s life-changing power, then it is the wrong reason and will not be effective. As CMA’ers, we find ourselves in all types of motorcycling events each weekend throughout the United States. It must be our love for God and God’s love for people that motivates us. Without the love of God, a great deal of work may be done with few accomplishments. Our works will be sifted, and only God’s love will last for eternity. Man’s work (in the eyes of the world) may look good, but only the love of God will bring lasting results. If we want to see the love of God pe*****te the hearts of the lost, we must draw close to them and allow that love to pe*****te theirs.

As we go into the highways and byways, may we always be mindful that God’s love makes a difference. Commit to pray that God’s love will shine through you to touch those in need!

Your Self Worth

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added to you” (Matthew 6:33, NKJV).

What is the value of what you are accomplishing today? In the midst of your work, in the midst of your family life, in the midst of your ministry, what are you really accomplishing?

The Scriptures are very clear that only those seeds born of Christ in us will last beyond our mortal lives. That means all that is Christ-like in us and in what we produce will live on for eternity, but the rest, the things of the flesh, begin perishing the moment they are born. So our true measure of effectiveness, of worth, should always be Christ.

Today, I challenge you to take a moment and evaluate your life. Evaluate who you are at work, at home, and in the ministry. What is being produced? Is Christ being high and lifted up through your life, or are there other things being magnified that should not be? Don’t be discouraged if your evaluation is less than complimentary. Be challenged! Be challenged to lean more on the Holy Spirit and the grace of God! Take a moment to pray and ask God for more of His Holy presence and power in your life, so that you can experience all He has called you to.
