“Ya Llegaron Los Misioneros” -kids
When I was a child, I remember missionaries would come to my community in Mexico to tell us stories of the B I B L E. The gifts they brought and the smiles they shared impacted my life greatly. I too wanted to be a missionary. I wanted to tell everyone about my friend J E S U S and his love for humanity.
I thank God for Jesus Bendice a Los Niños because for over seven years that I’ve partnered with this ministry I've learned so much from the wonderful team that embody it. About five years ago, God gave me the opportunity to visit Guatemala 🇬🇹, fall in love with the country and its people, and learn from them. Like any good project, my trip there has brought many amazing memories, challenges, so much joy, the kind of joy that starts building up in your chest, then travels through your throat but finally makes you burst into a combination of tears and laughter.
These are pictures from my recent trip there. I went with my sister who got to teach the kids about God’s special love and purpose for them through the story of Moses. It was absolutely beautiful! Nothing compares to the instant gratification that I get to experience when I see the children so excited to be there, so engaged in the stories of Jesus, and smiling over things I sometimes take for granted.
Big thanks to all my friends who donated for this trip! The kids received food, sorpresas (candy bags -in this case a cup they could use to drink juice once they were finished with the candy), we had enough money for piñatas, cubiletes (banana cupcakes), ice cream and so many other little details that were crucial for an unforgettable Día del Niño celebration!
