“As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”

We are stones like Christ. We are chosen by God for his purposes and precious in His sight. He has chosen us not bec
ause of our value, shape or usefulness, but for His glory. But strategically placed together with other stones by The Master Craftsman, we can realize our intended purpose and proclaim the very skill of the builder. We are living. We have received new life through the power of the Gospel. We are not an organization, but rather a collective organism. We are not a place, but instead, are being built together to exist as a dwelling place for the Spirit of God. We are unique and different, not manufactured, homogeneous, or conformed. From the world's perspective, our differences are too great and should prevent us from joining together for a common purpose. However, the power of the Gospel breaks down the barriers of language, ethnicity, class and age as we seek together to fully proclaim by word and deed the supremacy and worth of Jesus Christ. Our very differences make us stronger and more unified as we serve and endure with one another, love one another, and live side by side for the faith of the Gospel. "Y viniendo a El como a una piedra viva, desechada por los hombres, pero escogida y preciosa delante de Dios, también vosotros, como piedras vivas, sed edificados como casa espiritual para un sacerdocio santo, para ofrecer sacrificios espirituales aceptables a Dios por medio de Jesucristo." I Pedro 2:4-5
Como Cristo nosotros somos piedras. Somos escogidos por Dios para sus fines y tenemos mucho valor a Su vista. El no nos ha escogido a causa de nuestro valor, nuestra forma o lo que podemos hacer, sino para Su gloria. Individualmente, una sola piedra sirve un propósito limitado. Pero si ésta piedra está estratégicamente colocada junto con otras piedras por El Maestro Artesano, nosotros podemos llevar a cabo nuestro propósito destinado y proclamar la habilidad del constructor. Estamos vivos. Hemos recibido nueva vida por medio del poder del Evangelio. No somos una organización, sino un organismo colectivo. No somos un lugar, en cambio, estamos siendo construidos juntos con el fin de ser una morada para el Espíritu de Dios. Somos únicos y diferentes, no somos fabricados, ni homogéneos, ni conformados. A vista del mundo, somos demasiado diferentes y nuestras diferencias deberían de impedir que nos unamos con un propósito común. Sin embargo, mientras que buscamos juntos proclamar la supremacía y el valor de Jesucristo por medio de palabras y hechos, el poder del Evangelio derribe las barreras de idioma, etnicidad, clase socioeconómica y edad. Nuestras diferencias nos fortalecen y nos unen más al servir juntos y y perdurar los unos con los otros, amarnos los unos a los otros y vivir lado con lado para la fe del Evangelio.
