Proverbs 3:5&6. Someone very dear to me has shared this passage as their life verse for many years. I appreciate this insight to long loved verses from God's Word. May your heart be blessed today!

We won’t know every obstacle that lies in our path. It’s impossible to know everything the future has in store. Yet we are fully loved and cared for by the One who promises to go before and is preparing our path.

Trust that God is working out a purpose in your life better than you can imagine. No matter what’s ahead, He will supply you with all the strength, wisdom, and comfort to get through it.

Through all of life's struggles, God remains with us. The whole Bible promises us this! The other thing about break through is God never leaves us alone in the struggle. Are you carrying all the troubles in your world? Concern for loved ones, financial strain, never enough time in the day and enough hours of sleep at night? What does "leave it at the cross" look like? It isn't giving up, walking away from responsibility. It's intentionally clearing your heart and mind of worry and anxiety knowing that the struggle will remain but your peace and strength come from the Lord. Look for God's grace, mercy and blessing in the every day things. He's there.

I had a friend years ago who was overwhelmed with life. Two or three Church women heard of her concerns and showed up at her front door. They simply cleaned her home. In a couple hours, floors were cleared of books and toys and the things of everyday life in a home with three children and then vacuumed. Dishes were loaded and started in the dishwasher. Bathroom was cleaned. With words of encouragement and hugs the women departed saying "you were really only one level down." How often do we feel buried in life only to have the Lord say to us "I am rescuing you; you're only one level down." Take heart friends! Our God rescues the overwhelmed.

It's an overwhelming time of year. Back to the routines and schedules of life. Harvest season. Change of weather. When feeling overwhelmed, go to the Bible. There are many comforting passages but this is a favorite.

Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.”

God has purpose and plans for everything. Be strong in the storm. May you be blessed today!
