We are an evangelical church in fellowship with the Conservative Congregational Christian Conference. Sunday Church 10 a.m. Sunday School 11:15

On June 29, 1808, the original church covenant was signed by 9 people in Sylvester Woodford's barn. On July 23,1810 the first church constitution was adopted. The Farmington Society, which still exists today, was created to support the church. It was named after the town in Connecticut from which the founders had emigrated. First meeting house built 1818 on Mill St. Second meeting house completed 1826 on the creek side of Ithaca Rd. Current meeting house cornerstone laid July 17, 1867 & dedicated August 25, 1868. The church will be open as usual before and during the parade this Saturday for bathrooms and drinks. We do ask that visitors please park in the lot or on the grass behind the library, church, or parsonage to allow more parade goers to see the parade on Main St.
Check out our historic 1705 bell in the front vestibule. It was made at Whitechapel Foundry, the same place that made the Liberty Bell (and the handbells used by the Hallelujah ringers). It had been ordered for and used in the First Congregational Church of Farmington Connecticut until they build a new church in 1771-72. The bell was replaced at that time possibly because it is topped with the crown. It made its way to Candor with the earliest settlers, many of whom came from the Farmington Church. June 29 was the 218th Anniversary of the Candor Congregational Church.

June 29 is the 218th anniversary of the founding of the Candor Congregational Church.
July 4 is the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.
