For five days, our VBS kids sang, played, crafted, snacked, laughed, learned, and maybe made just a little bit of noise. 😉 We learned about Jesus through our daily lessons and discovered who He really is:

💡 God's Promised Son
💡 God's Perfect Son
💡 The Powerful Son of God
💡 The Proven Son of God
💡 God's Plan for Forgiveness

Besides all the things we did to learn more about God's Light, we learned to share that light beyond the church walls. So throughout the week, our kids worked together to create Light in the Darkness Kits for people throughout our community. They made cards, wrote prayers, assembled Scripture rings, packed bags, and prayed over the people who would receive them.

Then Friday, we took our show on the road. 🚌✨

We delivered our gifts to nursing home residents and staff, and have extras to go to the hospital, ambulance, fire department, police department, and area churches—sharing a little encouragement and a whole lot of love along the way.

We ended the week with a performance for our families and a renewed excitement for Jesus, God, and all the wonderful things they do for us in our lives!

A HUGE thank you to the volunteers for making the week what it was, and to those who donated their Thrivent Action Team dollars that made VBS possible!

Melanie pointed out a great verse this morning in her sermon from Isaiah 55:2, “Why do you spend you money for that which is not bread and your earnings for that which does not satisfy?” What are you doing to satisfy your soul?

And the kids learned about 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread.
