Wonderful time yesterday at the Bob's Creek Baptist Church. We have been doing a study through the Old Testament Book of Joshua. As we went through chapter 4 one of the men had the idea that we have a Memorial Stone service and let everyone bring and place a stone at a designated spot on the church grounds to indicate a time when God did a special work in their lives. God throughout the Old and New Testament had His people set up visual things to "stir up" their memories about a great work He had done. The Passover Meal was a visual reminder of the deliverance from Egyptian Bo***ge. We also celebrated the Lord's Supper yesterday which is a visual reminder of Our Lord's broken body and shed blood for us. It was a beautiful day with beautiful fellowship with the church family and Our Savior.

Services start each night @ 6:45.

Wednesday - Pastor Scott Hobbs from Liberty Christian Fellowship
Thursday - Natalie, Issac, and Pia Drummond from Kitty Hawk UMC.

As a man I think one of the things we hate to do is to stop and ask directions. I have often gone several miles in the wrong direction due to this issue. We also face this in the life of faith, we know where we are going because of the grace we receive through Christ but along the way things happen and we feel lost. We find ourselves on a path that was not necessarily of our choosing. David felt this way when he had served as king of Israel for years and then was kicked from his throne by his own son. Trying to figure out what he was to do he prayed a simple prayer found in Psalms 25 verses 4 & 5 Show me your ways, O Lord. Teach me Your paths, Lead me in Your truth and teach me. For you are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day.
A Simple Prayer for guidance: Lord I want to know. I am willing to go, I will wait till You Show.
Do we really want to know? Will we be willing to go in the way He shows? And will we wait until He shows even if it seems to be time to move?
