This Sunday (August 23) is Back to School Sunday and we’re kicking off a brand-new school year with a day full of blessing, celebration, and FUN for all ages!
During Worship-We’ll share a special Back to School Blessing for students, teachers, staff and families (Backpacks are welcome but not necessary for the blessing).
Kids, Youth & Teachers will receive a Back to School Treat!
After Worship here at the Church-Everyone’s Invited for a
Covered Dish Lunch (Hot dogs & Ice cream treats provided—bring your favorite side!) And Back to School Fun Time led by Coach Danny for Kids, Youth & Adults! Games, laughter, teamwork, and plenty of silliness.
It’s going to be an awesome day of joy, connection, and church family fun!

Join us this Thursday, August 20th, for our monthly FREE FOOD PANTRY & MARKET (3rd Thursday each month) from 3-5pm in the Gym. Entrance is on the backside. ALL ARE WELCOME! 725 Asbury Road in Candler, NC 28715

At this pantry...fresh produce; eggs; cheese; ground beef & pork tenderloin; canned chicken & tuna; dry & canned beans; cereal; peanut butter; canned veggies & fruit; soup; mac 'n cheese; milk; Laundry detergent, dish soap, hand soap, paper products & toiletries (deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner).

This free food pantry & market is available for ANYONE in need. You may also get items for neighbors or family members in need. The only question we ask is "How many in your household?"

Also on campus, the Food Connection Food Truck Fran will be in our parking lot passing out free meals. All are welcome!

“Christmas in July” is this Sunday, July 12. Everyone is invited to wear Christmas attire. During morning worship, the sanctuary will have Christmas décor, we’ll sing Christmas carols and Pastor Avery’s sermon will be “The Friendly Beasts.” Following worship, we will have cookies (decorated by the Youth) & Cheerwine punch in the Penley Room.

Project Agape Christmas boxes, brochures, toys and handouts (with instructions on how to create a box) will be available (in the Penley Room) to take, fill & return by July 26.
