Canby Evangelical

Canby Evangelical Community of Jesus followers that are committed to building a family that welcomes people into a personal relationship with the Son.

Canby Evangelical Church is the oldest continuous congregation in Canby. The church was established in 1884, and we have been ministering to the community for over 130 years. In those 130 years, Canby has changed dramatically and so has the church, However, we believe that the Bible does not change, and the principles of the Bible apply to our lives today as much as they did to our founders in 18

84. You will find that Canby Evangelical Church is not just a church but a fellowship of believers who love Jesus and each other. At CEC, you can expect to hear Bible-based preaching, experience a warm reception from loving people, and be encouraged to live a Spirit-filled life. Our worship is a blend of traditional hymns and more contemporary Christian songs. We would love to have you join us as we know you will be welcomed from the moment you enter the door. Our worship sanctuary was built in 1893 and has the feel of an old county church but with modern technology. An education wing was added in the 1950's and remodeled and updated in 2007. In 2014, we dedicated a new building that is a combination office complex and youth facility. All of these are handicapped accessible. Parking is available in the main lot, in the gravel lot behind the church, and in the grass field next to the church.

Hosanna to the King! What does your Hosanna mean today? A cry for help? A shout of victory? Our King hears both!

Missing our Pastor Bobby and Christina these last two weeks. We hope and pray the best for them on their adventures! Bear with us while we try and run things without them.

Looking forward to worshiping together tomorrow and letting go of our worry.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way,
though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea,
though its waters roar and foam,
though the mountains tremble at its swelling.
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God,
the holy habitat ion of the Most High.
God is in the midst of her;
she shall not be moved;
God will help her when morning dawns.
Psalms 46:1-5

We rise up with millions of other Christians around the world, in the darkness of this dark hour, and we cry out to You. We cannot be moved when we stand on Your Word. Therefore, we speak to the mountains of peril and pain which are casting dark shadows over the peoples of our world, and we command them to MOVE! Be uprooted from our planet, and be eradicated, in Jesus’ name. Amen
