Sin results in separation from God and each other. It causes us to fall into a personal, self-inflicted exile from God and others. The Shofar blast is a call to return from our transgressions and experience a better, deeper, connection with God and each other. Sin is separation; repentance is reconnection!

“You do not need to chase down a prophet with your phone in their face to hear from God, the Spirit and the Word already agree, and the Word is sitting right there waiting to be opened. Prophecy is meant to confirm what God has already been building in you, not replace the work of actually knowing His voice. Stop running around for a rhema and start marking your Bible in black.”
Lance Wallnau

Discipleship is more than observing, watching, viewing, monitoring, studying, and examining, it is becoming like the teacher by doing what one is told! This is the root of our theological education problem. We have mistaken studying the Master for becoming like Him. We have mistaken observing for doing! We have replaced the Jewish understanding of discipleship with a Greek understanding.

“Cheap grace is the preaching of forgiveness without requiring repentance, baptism without church discipline, Communion without confession, absolution without personal confession. Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.

Costly grace is the treasure hidden in the field; for the sake of it a man will go and sell all that he has. It is the pearl of great price to buy which the merchant will sell all his goods. It is the kingly rule of Christ, for whose sake a man will pluck out the eye which causes him to stumble; it is the call of Jesus Christ at which the disciple leaves his nets and follows him.

Costly grace is the gospel which must be sought again and again, the gift which must be asked for, the door at which a man must knock.

Such grace is costly because it calls us to follow, and it is grace because it calls us to follow Jesus Christ. It is costly because it costs a man his life, and it is grace because it gives a man the only true life. It is costly because it condemns sin, and grace because it justifies the sinner. Above all, it is costly because it cost God the life of his Son: "ye were bought at a price," and what has cost God much cannot be cheap for us.

Above all, it is grace because God did not reckon his Son too dear a price to pay for our life, but delivered him up for us. Costly grace is the Incarnation of God.”

“I consider that the chief dangers which confront the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and Heaven without Hell.”

The hour is later than most realize.

The Spirit is not calling the Church to blend in with the culture but to come out from compromise and be wholly devoted to Christ. God is purifying a Bride who loves His presence more than comfort, His truth more than popularity, and His glory more than the approval of men.

This is the hour to rebuild the altar, return to first love, and pursue holiness without apology. The same grace that saves us also empowers us to live set apart for the One who is coming again.

Don’t mistake God’s patience for His delay. His mercy is giving the Church time to awaken, repent, and prepare.

The cry of Heaven is growing louder:

“Behold, the Bridegroom is coming!”

Will we be watching? Will our lamps be full? Will our garments be ready?

“Let us rejoice and be glad and give Him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and His Bride has made herself ready.”
Revelation 19:7

The King is coming.
The Bride must prepare.
The Spirit is calling.

There is a strong biblical theme that runs throughout Scripture, the call to watch, prepare, remain faithful, and keep our hearts fixed on the Bridegroom.

Revelation 22:17 states:
“The Spirit and the bride say, ‘Come!’”

There is something powerful about reminding the Church that we are not just waiting for an event, we are preparing to meet our King! A prepared Bride is a worshiping Bride, a faithful Bride, and a surrendered Bride.

May the Lord continue to encourage His people to awaken, return to our first love, and live with eternity in view.

The King is coming! Even so, come, Lord Jesus!

No matter where you find yourself today, or how heavy your heart may feel, know this: Jesus has not given up on you. He is greater than your deepest failures, stronger than your hardest days, and able to rise above every circumstance you face.

Place your trust in Him. He is faithful, and He will not fail you. In Him, your story is not over, it is being REDEEMED! Victory is not just a hope; it’s part of your calling.
