Mt. Gilead Christian Church In-person services start at 9:30 AM Central, online preaching starts at 11:15 AM Central. Evangelist/Minster is Bro. The head of the church is Jesus Christ.

Mt. Gilead is dedicated to the restoration of the Lord's church. We are the Lords church of the long hunters area of Green and Adair County's. We try to spread the word of the Bible Christ is our message. And your souls eternal salvation is our mission. The church of Christ is not a denomination or division. The church was

purchased by Christ. The owner of the Church is Christ. We worship by only how the New Testament church worships. All are welcome.

1. The Lord's Church is Not a Denomination

It is a group of autonomous churches and there is no central headquarters.

2. Baptism Required for Salvation:
baptism to be one of four steps to salvation, along with belief, repentance, and confession of Christ. Mark 16:16 Acts 2:38 John 3:5 1. hear 2. believe 3. repent of past sin 4. Confess your faith 5 Be baptized for the remission of sin. Then REMAIN FAITHFUL UNTO DEATH

3. The Christian Life Has A Syllabus:
Christians must perform the following each day:

• Pray
• Study the Bible
• Worship
• Remain faithful

4. The Celebration of Weekly Communion:
(The Lords Supper)
While other Christian churches celebrate the Lord's Supper sporadically, the Independent Christian Church celebrates it every Sunday morning it is the New Testament plan of worship so we follow it. This is the most important form of worship in the New Testament and God's church it is 90% of the reasons Christians meet every Sunday. Then to sing and pray to the Lord. Jesus said in Mat. 16:18 " 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build MY church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Jesus said he was going to build HIS church. Man was not authorized to build a different church other then the church of God the church of Christ. So therefore by that being said we are not authorized to worship differently then Christ church(church of Christ) We are not to be teaching a different plan of salvation then the New Testament church teached. We do not mean to be hard or blunt but we must honor God's word and the divine plan of worship, place of worship, and plan of salvation. If you have not yet obeyed the Gospel please join us and ask us the same question they asked in Acts chapter 2. "what must I do to be saved? Services: Sunday School Bible Study 9:30 am
