Devotional: “On the Third Day—Hope Rose Too”
There is something deeply personal about the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. He didn’t just die for the world—He died for you. For your burdens, your hidden hurts, your questions, your fears. And when He rose again on the third day, He didn’t just conquer the grave—He made a way for you to rise too.
As women, we often carry so much—responsibilities, emotions, expectations. Some days feel heavy, like the stone that sealed the tomb. But the resurrection reminds us that no stone is too heavy for God to move. No situation is too far gone. No heart is too broken to be restored.
When the women came to the tomb, expecting sorrow, they were met with a life-changing question from the angel:
“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; He has risen!” (Luke 24:5–6)
In that moment, grief was interrupted by glory. What they thought was the end was only the beginning.
On that third day, everything changed. Darkness gave way to light. Despair turned into hope. And death was defeated forever. That same resurrection power is still alive today—working in your life, even when you can’t yet see it.
So when you feel weary, remember: Sunday is coming.
When you feel unseen, remember: He sees you.
When you feel defeated, remember: He already won.
You are loved, redeemed, and never alone.
“He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” – Matthew 28:6
Take heart today—you serve a risen Savior, and because He lives, hope lives in you too.
