God has given us gifts to use for His glory which are perfected through conflict. Let us not fear the fight for the Lord but stand firm in His Word. The one who fights for you is greater than what fights against you. The battle belongs to God. Lord, bless and keep Your children who are struggling today in the midst of conflict. Father, may You shine upon those to whom You have shown Your grace and mercy. For nothing is impossible for God who has called you is more than just a conqueror. In Jesus' name. Amen.

1 Peter 4:12-13
12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal that has come on you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice inasmuch as you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.

We are reminded by Jesus and Paul that as long as we have food and clothing, we should be content. It seems that many allow their desires to get out of control with greed taking over need. God has always desired that we allow Him to be enough for all our concerns. Father, forgive us for getting caught up in this world's need for excess. Lord, help us to rely on Your grace to supply all we have need of; to be content with the blessings You have poured out on us. May we find joy in those whom You have placed in our lives. In Jesus' name. Amen.

1 Timothy 6:6-10
6 But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8 But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9 Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

The desire should be that we are known as someone who is real. That our Christianity is more than just a belief, it actually changes the way we live our lives. May it be said of us that our religion is more than just skin deep, having lived as real followers of Jesus Christ. Father, search our heart today and reveal any inconsistencies in our lives. Lord, may we reveal who You are to the world by how we live in the world. In Jesus' name. Amen.

1 Timothy 1:5-7
5 The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. 6 Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. 7 They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.

The Lord is the God of all things, of renewal and blessing. He desires to renew and bless us each day. His love is new every morning as He pours out His blessings. Father, we praise You for Your power, wisdom, and grace. Lord, we can't begin to thank You enough for salvation, the gift of the Holy Spirit, and our Church family. Today, renew us in Your loving grace as we seek Your will. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 103:2-5
2 Praise the Lord, my soul,
and forget not all his benefits—
3 who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
4 who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
5 who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

We so often think about the feeling of love. It isn't just a feeling it is action that shows our feelings. As a Christian that action shows our love for Jesus. In reaching to others needing to see that Jesus loves them. Our obedient response to His Word leads to those who would question His will, as an example of the greatest love ever known. Father, we thank You for allowing us to see Your love through Jesus' example. Lord, for showing us how to love by obeying Your will and honoring You. Direct our path today that our actions, our words, and our thoughts are received as praise to You for what You have done. In jesus' name. Amen.

John 15:9-13
9 “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love. 10 If you keep my commands, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commands and remain in his love. 11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.

It seems that we are often faced with times of confusion, and in those times, we can take comfort in knowing that God will be faithful and work out the situation for our good. All that we see and know here is subject to decay but our relationship with Jesus is our strength forever. God, we thank You for always being with us in times of trouble and confusion. Lord, increase our faith to trust You even in times when things don't look the way we expected. Strengthen our faith that we hold firmly to Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 73:23-26
23 Yet I am always with you;
you hold me by my right hand.
24 You guide me with your counsel,
and afterward you will take me into glory.
25 Whom have I in heaven but you?
And earth has nothing I desire besides you.
26 My flesh and my heart may fail,
but God is the strength of my heart
and my portion forever.

I am thankful we can trust God who is faithful to keep His promises. He has a purpose for our every day as we witness the sunrise each morning. We are reminded daily that He is at work keeping His universe in working order through Jesus. Father, may we greet each new day as Your gift and reminder of Your faithfulness. Lord, as we await the sunrise each day, help us to greet it expectantly, that we may testify to the fulfillment of Your promises through Jesus. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 33:4-5
4 For the word of the Lord is right and true;
he is faithful in all he does.
5 The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love.

As God's children we must be aware of the time it is in this world. Satan continues to have control over the hearts of many, with temptation abounding, evil seeks to distort and destroy. Father, help us to discern the best use of our time and influence for You. Lord, grant that our eyes may be open to see the temptation of Satan along our journey. Sustain and grow our courage to stand faithfully with You. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Ephesians 5:15-17
15 Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.
