Proven long ago, we need each other, we simply cannot make it alone. Our Lord calls us to come together regularly in an effort to encourage and motivate each other in Christ. To live our lives in service to each other with faith in Him. Father, we thank You for the Christian family which encourages and motivates us to service. Lord, bless those who are able to gather in Jesus' name and praise You. Help us to serve others to encourage and uplift. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Hebrews 10:24-25
24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

To witness about God's love to friends, neighbors, and coworkers is not easy. We often find ourselves disappointed when they reject God's plan of salvation. In efforts to reach the lost we have to be encouraged that it's God's work and not our own. That requires us to be patient and rely completely on God. It is His will that our lives are a living testimony to the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Father, we thank You for Your saving grace and ask that You make us a living witness to Your love and mercy. Lord, purify our imperfections by your Holy Spirit that other's may witness and believe in truth. In Jesus' name. Amen.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-15
13 But we ought always to thank God for you, brothers and sisters loved by the Lord, because God chose you as firstfruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. 14 He called you to this through our gospel, that you might share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
15 So then, brothers and sisters, stand firm and hold fast to the teachings we passed on to you, whether by word of mouth or by letter.

Jesus looked on people with compassion, wanting to meet their needs. Today there is no shortage of people we can help if we open our eyes toward them in compassion. It's a tragedy when we allow the busyness of life to keep us from taking time to reach out in compassion to help those in need. We should look with compassion and stop to help. Father, we ask for a heart to care and hands to serve those who are in need today. Lord, stir the Church to work at reaching the lost and helping those who stand in need. In Jessu' name. Amen.

Matthew 9:36-38
36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. 38 Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”

We live in a world that sometimes holds the Christian, the very Church, captive to worries, deceit, and desires that strain our relationship to one another. The effect is an ineffectual witness for God. Lord, though our thoughts and attitudes are challenged today, we seek Your focus for our lives that we aren't distracted. Father, direct our attention to the many blessings we have already as we give You praise. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Mark 4:18-19
18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; 19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful.

The songs of our childhood often say things in the easiest ways to understand. "O be careful little hears what you hear ... for the Father up above is looking down in love, so be careful little ears what you hear!" We must always carefully filter out what we are listening to that our focus is more intentionally on what we need to hear! Lord, open my ears, eyes, heart, and mind, so that I can understand your message for my life. Father, help me to hear Your messages, and to apply those in my life each day. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Mark 4:24-25
24 “Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more. 25 Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”

God gives us guidance that is to protect us and not to restrict us. Each action of God is meant to protect and perfect us that we may have life and have it preserved. God's precepts bring us rewards that go with living a wholesome life. Father, help us to see Your words as life-giving and protective. Father, I know that Your desire is to give guidance to provide protection. Today, may Your presence lead us to live a life more aligned with Your will. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Psalm 119:89-92
89 Your word, Lord, is eternal;
it stands firm in the heavens.
90 Your faithfulness continues through all generations;
you established the earth, and it endures.
91 Your laws endure to this day,
for all things serve you.
92 If your law had not been my delight,
I would have perished in my affliction.

Satan is real with very real power intended to harm. As Christians, we should resist him when tempted and focus on Jesus who defeated Satan at Calvary. Jesus took the greatest tool that Satan had and disarmed it, now we can tell him to get behind us and he has to flee. Father, thank You for sending Jesus to break Satan's hold over us. By His death and resurrection, You have assured us of victory over sin and death. Lord, continue to help us resist Satan's temptation. In Jesus' name. Amen.

1 Peter 5:8-9
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.

Newborns come into our lives loud, messy, and a special treasure all at the same time. Children quickly grow and mature as they should and it is the same with Christians. The Christian should grow and mature in the Holy Spirit. God doesn't want us to remain immature but to mature in Christ. The Lord wants His children to crave that which is good and builds character, compassion and lovingkindness. Lord, help us to continue to mature in Your grace. It is by Your design that we grow spiritually to pursue Your character, as shown by Jesus in His life. Father, may we be more like Jesus, showing Your attributes to the world around us. In Jesus' name. Amen.

1 Peter 2:2-3
2 Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, 3 now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

We often find ourselves waiting for whatever is to come next in life's journey. The disciples certainly had to wait upon the leading of the Lord, but they weren't idle while waiting. They prayed together constantly with expectation, waiting on the Holy Spirit. Yes, they were waiting but they were also busy praying, may we ourselves wait patiently on Him today. Lord, bless our efforts to encourage those who believe to join together with us in prayer. Father, bring a renewed spirit of unity among those who fervently call upon You. May we together witness the outpouring of Your grace. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Acts 1:14
14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

Compassion is at the heart of what God does. It was once stated that you can't measure the cost of compassion in dollars and cents, but that it comes with a price tag that is much more than just money. The true cost of compassion is "Love." We all are aware that love is anything but free. The very nature of God's love is that it is willing to sacrifice for the good of others. Our Father, we thank You for loving us enough to send Jesus as the ransom for our sins. Lord Jesus, thank You for your loving sacrifice that saves us and shows us the extent of your love. We pray for that love to be poured into us today that we may love others as Jesus has loved us. In Jesus' name. Amen.

John 15:11-14
11 I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete. 12 My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command.
