Calling all adults interested in investing in the lives of area students... It's time to AMP up student outreach.

This is a really simple informational meeting for adults who care
about kids and might want to hear more about Young Life and what that could look like locally. No pressure or commitment at all, just sharing the vision and seeing who might want to be involved.

Join one of the following meetings at the Campbell Savona High School
• Sunday, June 7th from 2:00–3:00pm
• Monday, June 8th from 7:00–8:00pm

A personal relationship with Christ is just that, personal. How deep you grow with Christ and in Christ is between you and your Savior.

I wish I had known this sooner. I wish I’d never compared my connection to God to anyone else’s. I wish I hadn’t believed the lie that the way I spent time with Him had to look one precise and pristine way . . . or else. I wish I never compared my season of life to past seasons of my life, convincing myself that I just wasn’t in the ideal season to fully experience God.

Maybe then I would not have lived weighed down by some kind of “super Christian” expectations, overwhelmed and feeling guilty about all the ways that I was convinced I was constantly missing the mark.
That is the freeing truth I want to give to you.

Your relationship with God? You can uncomplicate it.

You can drop the unrealistic expectations that don’t come from God.

God wants a real relationship with the real you– with your real personality, in your current season of life.

Hold On to What’s True

Reading Scripture is vital to our intimacy with God. God’s Word is our weapon. It’s alive, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). And when we hide Scripture in our heart, it helps us battle with the forces of evil. We have an enemy, and the last thing he wants us to do is trust God and His Word.

Our spiritual enemy wants to keep us in a place of doubt and insecurity. But when we know who we are, we can confidently demolish every lie that distracts us. Just like Jesus did, we can use Scripture to remind ourselves of the truth and fight back against the devil’s schemes.

Think through some of the lies you’ve believed. Maybe it's "I'm a failure, I'll never do anything right," or "God doesn't care about me, it's why these bad things happen." It’s easier to entertain lies when we allow them to become a part of us.

But once you recognize the lies you’ve internalized, you’re halfway to victory. God gave us His Word so that we could know the truth, and it’s His truth that sets us free.
