Our weekly CUMC KIDS program starts soon! We hope your children will join us and bring a friend! It is open to all K3-5th graders and there will be a bus provided from Westwood. It begins Wednesday, September 2nd at 4:30 pm. We have some great things planned, and we are excited! Today our church family prayed over two of our college students as they prepare for their next chapter. Caroline and Ben, remember to do your best, love God and others, and know your church family is praying for you and missing you! In children’s church today, our kids learned how God created the first humans with care and purpose, designing them to reflect who God is in a way nothing else can. Just as God made Adam and Eve with intention, we can trust that we were wonderfully made, too, because we are made in God's image.

Let's start the new school year off covered in prayer. Please join us Sunday, August 16th for our annual "Blessing of the Backpacks". We ask each student, teacher, coach, and school staff member to bring their backpack or bag for a special blessing by our congregation as we begin this school year. Come a little early to The Warehouse and enjoy coffee and a snack and have your kids' pictures made and grab their back to school gift. Following church at 9:00, the kids will have some fun on the water slide too! Mark your calendars now...you do not want to miss this!

Our kids had fun this morning playing the “where in the world” game to kick off our new Sunday series! They had to run to the part of the world where the animals Mrs Ginna called out lived. We talked about how they were all different and how God made the whole world! 🌎 🦊🐠⭐️Join us next Sunday for part 2 of this fun lesson from Genesis!

Take a moment to pause and get a closer look at the amazing world around us-trees, oceans, animals, and even you! What's even more amazing is that it was all created by God. From the beginning of time, God created everything with care and purpose, showing incredible love for all of creation-especially us.

Today in Children’s Church, our kids learned about Peter and made worry chains. We talked about how our worries can make us feel chained like Peter in prison, and how to talk to God when we are anxious. Let’s all work on giving our worries to God this week too!
