This Sunday, we took time to recognize and reward our children for all the hard work they put into Patch Club over the past 8 months. ❤️ We pray they will always remember the songs they sang 🎶 and the verses they memorized 📖. We are so proud of each of them! 😊

We would like to take a moment to introduce our summer intern, James Rose. James is a graduate of Crown College of the Bible and is originally from Iowa. As he seeks God’s direction for the next step in his life, he has agreed to spend the summer partnering with us here at Harmony Baptist Church.

Over the next three months, James will be serving in many different areas of ministry including Junior Church, VBS, Bible pass-outs, and more. He will also be a tremendous help as we continue working on our building project.

We are very thankful to have him with us this summer, and we hope you’ll take the opportunity to welcome him and encourage him while he’s here.

Today marked our final service in our old building. Pastor preached a powerful message from Luke 18 about what we should leave behind and what we should carry with us as we move into our new building in Elizabeth City.

As we pack boxes and prepare for this next chapter, there are some things we don’t want to take with us:

📦 Leave behind trusting in ourselves.
📦 Leave behind despising others.

And there are some things we must carry into our new home:

📦 Bring humility.
📦 Bring justification through Christ alone.

Buildings may change, but our need for God’s grace never does. We’re thankful for all God has done in this place and excited to see what He will do in the days ahead.
