With a shared commitment to providing South Jersey seniors with safe, affordable housing that offers a sound quality of life, the Diocese of Camden's Diocesan Housing Services Corporation, with project partners CVS Health and The Walters Group, celebrated the grand opening and dedication of The Mews at Saint Mary, a new 75-unit senior housing community located behind Our Lady of Peace Parish-Williamstown, NJ , on May 21.

Bishop Joseph Williams led the blessing, joined by partner representatives, community leaders, and clergy.

“Let us pray that Christ enter The Mews at Saint Mary and bless it with His presence. May He always be here among you. May He nurture your love for each other, share in your joys and comfort you in your sorrows.”

National Eucharistic Pilgrimage 2026
Walk with Jesus. Pray for the nation. Follow the journey.

As our nation celebrates America’s 250th anniversary, the 2026 National Eucharistic Pilgrimage carries the theme "One Nation Under God," inviting people of all ages to encounter Christ in the Eucharist through prayer, pilgrimage, and community.

Beginning Memorial Day weekend in St. Augustine, Florida, and concluding over the Fourth of July weekend in Philadelphia, the pilgrimage travels across the country — including several stops throughout South Jersey!

We are also honored that Bishop Joseph Williams will participate in many of the pilgrimage events.

Mental illness is not a moral failure. Addiction is not a lack of faith. Trauma is not a sign of spiritual weakness.

Such are among the stereotypes Bishop John Dolan of the Diocese of Phoenix urged every member of society to break, as keynote speaker of the New Jersey Catholic Mental Health Conference earlier this month.

“We are living in a time when connection is constant, but real communion is not, especially among our youth. I have come to say clearly: Isolation kills but communion heals. I say that because I’ve seen it and I’ve experienced it,” he said, explaining that five of his family members have died by su***de.
