Friends, there are a bunch of things I don't know but here's something I know unequivocally: I was loved and adored by Rev. Roger Anthony Hopson, my hero and greatest cheerleader, who died Saturday morning of a massive heart attack. My family is devastated but we thank God and count it all joy to have known and been loved by him. For more than 47 years he cared for and about, inspired, and cheered me on. He was full of joy and infectious laughter and was one of God's most magnificent creations. He took friendship seriously and never met a stranger.

Services will be Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Bartlett United Methodist Church, 5676 Stage Road, Bartlett, TN 38134.
Visitation begins at 9 a.m., followed by the service at 1 p.m.

Please no flowers or plants but memorials may be made to Centenary UMC, Meharry Memphis Fund, 584 E. McLemore, Memphis, TN 38106; or to Gammon Theological Seminary, 653 Beckwith St. SW, Atlanta, GA 30314, with a designation for scholarships.
Please keep us lifted in prayer.
