Fall is shaping up to be a busy season across the Diocese of Camden — and Mike Walsh and Jen Mauro are here to help you plan ahead.

On this week’s Talking Catholic, Mike and Jen preview some of the diocesan events coming between now and November, including gatherings for young adults, opportunities to explore the permanent diaconate and prison ministry, the Blue Mass, the Diocesan Hispanic Celebration, the New Jersey March for Life and the Diocesan Marian Pilgrimage to Washington, D.C.

They’re also putting out the call for some new voices on Talking Catholic. The podcast is looking for potential co-hosts who are engaged in the life of the Church — particularly in the areas of social justice and spirituality — and who can bring fresh perspectives, interesting guests and a willingness to join in the conversation.

Along the way, Mike and Jen discuss podcast auditions, Mike’s resistance to becoming a deacon, Jen’s questionable pilgrimage footwear and why no one should ever expect Mike to schedule another Teams meeting.

This Sunday’s — Matthew 18:15–20 — reminds us that we are not meant to live our faith alone. Jesus speaks of the power of forgiveness, reconciliation and coming together in His name.

“Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” — Matthew 18:18

And He gives us this beautiful promise:

“Where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” - Matthew 18:20

When we gather in His name with love and humility, Jesus is there among us.

United States Conference of Catholic Bishops

One day before the start of the , Bishop Joseph A. Williams visited the community of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish - NJ on Aug. 31 to bless his newly created namesake garden at Saint John Church, and offered a prayer in hope that all find rest in the heart of Christ.

Blessing the new garden, Bishop hoped for a new life, a new rebirth for “those who are farthest away, maybe even cast off by the community.” He also offered prayers for the lost family, friends and community who were present in the faithful’s hearts and minds, that “Jesus, somehow or some way, through us, bring them home.”
