SUNDAY, AUGUST 2nd 2026
Our service focused on how God provides for our needs...physically, emotionally, spiritually and eternally.
It's easy to trust that God will care for you when things are going well, but it's much more challenging when things take a turn and we experience difficult and troubling times.

Today, the Scripture readings were from 1 Kings 17:1-6 It was during dark times, under an evil king, when God provided a safe place to rest, food and water, for His faithful prophet, Elijah.

Ephesians 1: 3-10 God provided for our eternal needs by choosing us to be His beloved children.

MESSAGE TEXT was from Matthew 14: 13-21 This is the account where a weary Jesus had compassion on a large number of people who came to see Him and learn from Him. He fed 5000 men, plus women and children, with just 2 fish and 5 loaves of bread. AND there were 12 baskets full of leftovers!!!
"Trust God, He Does Provide for You"

HYMNS/SONGS:
"Good, Good Father"; "Great is Thy Faithfulness" and "Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow"
Music was played by Pastor Timmermann!!

MARK YOUR CALENDAR!!
Sunday, August 30th is

By now, most of you have heard about the terrible storm that hit Appleton and Menasha, WI yesterday afternoon, July 27th.
We have learned today, that Bethel Lutheran, a bi-lingual WELS church and pre-school in Menasha, suffered severe damage from the EF-3 tornado.
Dan Sims, Director of the WELS Christian Aid & Relief, visted the area today and is meeting with representatives from Bethel and other area WELS congregations. Bethel has about 500 members.
Keep checking WELS.net for updates and how you can help.
And keep ALL the people of Appleton and Menasha in your prayers! Many residents are needing temporary housing for those whose homes were damaged, or lost their homes completely.
We know that God, in His mercy, protected the people in these cities. There were some injuries, but no deaths...and that's a miracle!! He continues to be with them, and all of us too. πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

SUNDAY, JULY 26TH 2026
Continuing with the theme, "What Makes Christians Different?" They seek Spiritual wisdom, but there's so much more to see!

SCRIPTURE READINGS were from 1 Kings 3:5-12 when God asked the very young King Solomon what he wanted...it could be anything he wanted, and the King asked for Spiritual wisdom.
1 Timothy 6:17-21 where Paul warns of the false hope that commonly goes with worldly wealth.
SERMON MESSAGE TEXT from Pastor Timmermann, was from Matthew 13: 44-52 where we learn about our greatest treasure, but there's so much more to see in this section of scripture... WE are JESUS' treasure that He gave His life for to save us!

Hymn Songs: "Brothers, Sisters Let Us Gladly", "My Worth is Not in What I Own" and
"O Lord, My Rock and My Redeemer"

There were a lot of announcements in the Friday face book post. If you missed them, go back and where it says "more", click on it to read the whole message.

Join us next week as we gather around the Word on Sunday at 9:30 am and Worship at 10:30 am
Have a blessed week!!

SUNDAY, JULY 19TH 2026
our worship centered on the weeds living among the wheat. What does all that mean?
A similar story was talked about in the Old Testament reading of Isaiah 44: 6-1 where Christians will live among evil; And in Romans 1: 18-25 where we are reminded that God is not surprised by the evil in our world. His final judgement will come on the last day. The Sermon message from Pastor Timmermann, was based on the "Parable of the Wheat and the Weeds" in Matthew 13:24-30 and 36-43, where Jesus says "let them grow together" until the final harvest. We grow together. We love, forgive, and share the love of Jesus with everyone because we do not always know what is in a person's heart. The day of the harvest is too late to share the Gospel!! We have opportunities NOW while we live among the weeds.
HYMNS/SONGS: "How Great Thou Art", "Come You Thankful People, Come", and "There is a Higher Throne".
Thanks to Greg for taking pictures today and sending the service information to me, while we worshipped at another WELS church.
Join us next week for worship in Cambridge at 10:30 am!!!

MANY PRAYERS are needed for people in harm's way either from the excessive heat, and the fires and smoke from the wildfires in Ontario, Canada, Northern MN and Colorado, AS WELL AS...folks in parts of TX that are getting a LOT of rain and flooding in areas that were hard hit just a year ago.
Keep ALL of this in your prayers. Keep your eyes on Jesus!!

SUNDAY, JULY 12th, 2026
I was not there to take pictures today, but I have this information for you, to read and meditate on, at home.
Vicar Garth Perry gave the sermon message today, based on Luke 24: 13-35
"Jesus Gives Hope to the Hopeless"

Other readings were on 1 Peter 1: 17-21
and Acts 2: 14a, 32-42...the message of Christ crucified and Christ risen, gives the certain hope of forgiveness to all sinners.

There was a baptism, and the hymn sung for that was "God's Own Child, I Gladly Say It" and other Hymns were: "My Hope is Built on Nothing Less",
and "All I Have is Christ".

Have a blessed week!! Hope you can join us in person, next Sunday!!

07/11/2026

As Christians, our focus and our mission is to grow God's Kingdom. Does that scare you?
"What do I say?"...
"Who should I be sharing the Gospel with?"... "What if I say the wrong thing??"...
"What if they make fun of me?"
Notice who each of these questions is focusing on?? Ourselves!
When we focus on Jesus and have the desire to share the Good News, your focus changes. It becomes all about sharing and loving others.
We just plant the seeds....the Holy Spirit does the rest! We are NOT responsible for the outcome of conversations we have, or who comes as a result of our invitations to church or church functions.
Does that change how you reach out to others? I hope so!

THIS SUNDAY is the perfect time to invite a friend, neighbor, co-worker, golf buddy, business client, family member, or someone you just met at the grocery store! If they can't come, that doesn't close the door to a future offer! Keep inviting!

BIBLE STUDY & FELLOWSHIP at 9:30 am
WORSHIP at 10:30 am
THIS SUNDAY, JULY 12TH is the Quarterly Voter's Meeting at 1 pm at the Cambridge church campus.

There are SIGN UP sheets for a VARIETY of ways to get involved at church and help our Mission grow! Check them out in the entry way. And keep this new Mission in your prayers! πŸ™πŸ™πŸ™

(Please note that due to an event at another church, I will not be in Cambridge to do a summary of the service as I have been. Come join your fellow believers in person...it's the BEST experience!!)
And make sure to grab a copy of "News & Notes" when you arrive, so you will know ALL the opportunities we have to grow spiritually! There is also a sign up there to receive News & Notes by email.
Have a blessed weekend!!!
