The recent failure of our envelope company to provide envelopes for Sunday collections has seen a drastic and unexpected drop in the regular collections. I know people (like me) are averse to carrying cash, but this temporary strain makes a request for a makeup gift necessary. It in fact anticipates our increased giving request forthcoming in September about which you will hear more in the future. We are very grateful to those of you who have expressed not only justified concern but understanding over this time.

I understand that the young people for which we are so grateful here at St. Johns, do not have or carry cash to give to the collection. In this case, instead of skipping the passing of the basket, we would ask you to consider an electronic regular contribution which would make it easier for you to participate. If you need help with such, please consider asking an Office member at 617-547- 4880, or e-mailing Norbert DeAmato at the email printed on the bulletin.
