“As l was pulling my lure from the fish to release back into the water, l noticed two little eyes looking back at me from inside the fish’s mouth. After capturing this picture, the little green tree frog leaped straight past my head onto the nearest tree.
It was one of the coolest things l have seen in my life. This is one lucky frog !”🐸

MIDDLE SCHOOL LENTEN PRAYER CHALLENGE:
SUNDAY 3/5- Seeking God for passion to know and worship God
READ: Psalm 24:5-6
MESSAGE: Seeking God for Ethnic Communities-Pray that God will bring racial harmony; that long-standing offenses may be healed by the forgiveness that begins in Jesus; that Christians show honor and serve others in Christ's reconciling power; that the beauty of distinctive languages and cultures would be on display in local churches.
PRAYER WALK- Pray blessings in a neighborhood with an ethnic identity different than your own. Or pray blessings upon a business owned by people of another ethnicity than yours.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LENTEN PRAYER CHALLENGE:
SATURDAY 3/4- Seeking God to forsake falsehood
READ: Psalm 24:3-4
MESSAGE: Seeking God for Sick People- Pray for God to touch those who are sick in your community with healing and comfort. Pray that they will grow in grace as God walks with them throughout their ordeal; that God will provide for their financial needs; for their caregivers and families; that many will renew their trust in Christ and follow him boldly, even in affliction.
PRAYER WALK- Consider those in your neighborhood who may be struggling with chronic illness or pain. Pray for their healing.

Thursday 3/3- Seeking God's Face
READ: Psalm 24:3-4
MESSAGE: Seeking God for the Educators- Pray that teachers and mentors will impart godly wisdom to help form character in their students; for needed tools and proper facilities; for those who homeschool their children; for renewed zeal for truth and virtue; that they would have opportunity to know God in Christ; that believers would know how to pray for their students.
PRAYER WALK- As you walk around or near a school, pray for teachers, administrators and other staff.

Parents....remind Elevated members that for the next 6 weeks we are keeping notes in the Bible study booklet (or whatever they choose to use), doing the prayer walks from the calendar (also posted here), and the 40 notes in 40 days...we will be discussing their progress, reactions, and response to these prompts...message me here if you didn't get a text about this earlier...I don't have your cell phone number...lol...love you guys..!

MIDDLE SCHOOL LENTEN PRAYER CHALLENGE:
Thursday 3/2- Seeking God's Face
READ: Psalm 24:3-4
MESSAGE: Seeking God for the Poor - Pray that the spiritual and physical needs of the poor will be met with dignity and stability. Pray that God will release them from cycles of oppression and despair so that the poor are transformed to become God's blessing for others.
PRAYER WALK- Walk in places of poverty and neglect. Ask the holy Spirit to gibe you His eyes and His heart in order to pray from hope, not pity. What grieves or gladdens God as He walks amidst the poor?

What a great night...we made necklaces, talked about the lost souls, hung leaves on a tree with names and prayers written on them, burned sins to ashes, went to the foot of the cross, looked at the poverty in the area, country and world. Finished up with pancakes. It was a wonderful youth group meeting....they were definately "Elevated" this evening. Can't wait for the next 6 weeks to see them grow closer to God...!

Middle School Lent Prayer Challenge:
Wednesdy, 3/1- Seeking God's Face
Read Psalm 27:8
Seeking God for Youth-Pray for teens to commit their lives to Christ; to make wise choices; for older mentors; more authenticfriendships with their peers who are following Jesus; for opening trust and communication iwth parents; for God's intentions for thier generation to come forth in fullest measure.
Prayer Walk-Pray iwth your eyes open for people in their teens. Envision them following Christ 5 or 10 years from now.
