I'm originally from Braintree nearby, and I'm back now for grad school doing my PhD in physics at Northeastern. My whole experience in the Ward has been during the pandemic, so I'm looking forward to getting to re-meet people without masks.

I moved to Boston in Fall 2018 for school at Boston Conservatory. I study Vocal Performance and I am also training to get my certificate to teach Alexander Technique. I have also recently started to teach singing a little bit, which is way fun! Some things about me; I LOVE nature and anything outdoors and I'm always in the mood for a good adventure. I also LOVE books so if anyone has any recommendations let me know! I've been in the ward for a couple of years now but one thing I have loved and continue to enjoy is getting to know so many talented and amazing people! Fun/quirky fact about me - I have both been stung by a scorpion and charged by a moose on two separate and very different outdoor (sort of) adventures!

Hey! My name is Leo! I work in the office of a construction company, and I’ve been studying web programming for about 8 months now. I got baptized in January this year and I have been able to meet some incredible people in the MAW since then! A fun fact about me is that in 2016 I began studying chess just to teach my 6 year-old sister, but I ended up loving the game and it became one of my favorite hobbies!

Hello, I'm Brie! I was in the Mount Auburn ward in 2019 while I was doing a summer research program at Boston University, and I fell in love with the ward and Boston. It played a big part of my decision to come back and accept a spot in BU's bioinformatics PhD program last fall. Everyone in the ward is so lively and intelligent, and I am lucky to have so many amazing friends here. I also get to meet a lot of people through my calling -- I was the activities co-chair in summer 2019 and was called to the same position as soon as I came back in September 2020. We always have something going on in the ward on the weekends! I'm so grateful for all of the strong social bonds that I've forged through my calling. Also, fun facts: I'm from San Diego, CA and I love photography & botany!

While not totally giving up on my lifelong dream of becoming an astronaut, I moved to the Boston area to pursue a Master's in Computational Linguistics from Brandeis University. I use my spare time to create works of art. I love getting to know all of the intelligent and talented people of the Mount Auburn Ward. Something interesting about me is that I speak Kiribati and once translated for the president of that country.

I moved from Tucson, Arizona to the area in August 2020 to study piano performance at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge. I love being a member of the Mount Auburn Ward because it's always exciting to feel the spirit and meet new people every Sunday. Something quirky about me is that I was a circus instructor/performer for 4 years!

After serving in Canada from 2018-2020, I am back in the ward, finishing my last two years at Emerson College studying television broadcasting. TV broadcasting is something I've been passionate about since elementary school, and is one of the few things I can talk about all day! This ward has always felt like home and I love being here! I'm looking forward to continuing to meet others in the ward!

I grew up mostly in Southern California, the oldest of three girls. My family and I also lived in France for a few years, so I have a deep love for the French language and culture and FOOD. I studied Biochemistry and French and BYU and am now in Boston doing a Ph.D. in biochemistry! I LOVE this ward and have enjoyed getting to know everyone from very different backgrounds and perspectives, adding a lot to my testimony of the gospel.
