I believe one of the problems in my church is that people who are my age and older don't realize people younger than us have different life experiences. My pastor encourages people to do good and treat others well. He appears to be focused on the part of the Catholic life...“The Mass is ended, go in peace to love and serve the Lord.” Which is very important!
But, there's too many people who do not attend Mass, or adoration, or confession, or rosary, or divine mercy chaplet, or Bible study, or so many rich ways to grow in our faith, and are living their lives in what they believe to be good. They see no reason to go to Mass, learn, or grow in their Catholic faith. There's a huge disconnect.
If Catholics don't start practicing their faith within the church and her sacraments, then no one is going to know why they should return to the Church.
The Gospel of Jesus Christ crucified is why we are Catholic. It is why we make sacrifices in our lives for others. It is why we love. It is why we correct others in our faith. It is why we forgive when we're hurt. It is why we do good.
We do not know the truth without the Gospel of Jesus Christ. If we do not learn the truth of the Gospel and practice our faith within the church, and her sacraments, and devotions, then we won't be able to live it.
It took me over 50 years to know what I know about my faith in Jesus and I'm still learning more every single day. I cannot do this without the priests and my brothers & sisters practicing, teaching, and learning with me.
If the church doesn't practice the faith, then the world and the devil will teach us what they think is good and true. 🚫
The Catholic faith is the most beautiful thing I have ever experienced in this world! 💕 It has shown me true love beyond anything this world can offer. It connects me to heaven through the Eucharist, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
I hope we Catholics can share that with you. 💞
I love you, in Christ Jesus. ✝️
