Sunday Mornings 10:00 am Willerup Church is the oldest Scandinavian Methodist Church in the world, founded in 1851 by Christian B. Willerup. We take our rich historic heritage and passion for God's Word and teach it in a relevant way to todays culture. Our Church is a close community of friends that simply 'Do Life' together, we don't look at this as a Sunday thing, it's a daily thing. We aren't perfect and we don't expect you to be either. The backpacks are packed, the school bells are ringing… and we’re counting down the days until AWANA & CREW!! Our kiddos are back to school, and September 16th can’t get here soon enough! 🙌🏻🫶🏻

There’s just something special about watching multiple-generations come together to invest in the next generation of the church.

AWANA | 3K–5th Grade

Our after-school Bible club is a place for kids to learn God’s Word, build friendships, have fun, and grow in their relationship with Jesus.

CREW | Middle & High School

Our youth ministry is a place for students to ask hard questions, build real community, and grow deeper in their faith as they navigate the teenage years.

Whether they’re carrying a backpack to their first day of kindergarten or heading into their final year of high school, we believe every generation matters—and every generation has a place here with us!

It was a wonderful evening at the Ready, Set, Go event at Cambridge Elementary! AWANA is a faith based after school program full of fun, learning, and continual growth 🌱

Awana is for ages 3-5th grade and our youth program, CREW, is available for middle school and high school aged students (from 6:00-7:30 pm)! You wanna invite your family to see what God is doing in our church and in the next generation!

There is a beautiful Greek word in the New Testament: parakaleō (παρακαλέω).

It means to come alongside someone—to encourage, strengthen, comfort, and urge them forward. Biblical encouragement isn't just, “You’re doing great!”

It is seeing someone who may be tired, discouraged, grieving, struggling, or growing—and choosing to come alongside them.
Paul writes: “Encourage one another and build each other up.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:11

September 12 is the National Day of Encouragement, but at Willerup, we're taking the whole month.

THE SEPTEMBER ENCOURAGEMENT CHALLENGE
Every day, intentionally encourage ONE person.
Send the text.
Make the phone call.
Write the note.
Speak the blessing.
Thank the person nobody notices.
Tell someone what you see God growing in them.
Remind someone who is struggling: You are not walking alone.

Imagine what could happen if we spent 30 days practicing parakaleō.
30 days.
30 people.
Hundreds of words spoken into people's lives.
Let's become the people who come alongside.
