Our Easter 2026 service was a joyful celebration!

Celebrating the resurrection of Jesus with our church family in the sunshine by the river was absolutely beautiful.

Without the resurrection of Jesus Christ our faith would be meaningless. In Jesus we have everything we need!

The tomb is empty, he is risen, he is alive! 🙌🏼

If it feels like the world is burning down around you today or you’re drowning in the chaos, this is a gentle reminder that God is bigger and more powerful than any issue or challenge we face. There is no evil too dark, no circumstance beyond repair. No matter how overwhelming and impossible the issues may seem, the peace we crave is in His presence. You are not alone.

This Saturday Update + A Sneak Peek of What’s Coming

Because so many of our people are out of town, we’ve decided to cancel our service this Saturday on February 7th. While we’ll miss being together, we’re leaning into connection and rest and believing that travel, and time with loved ones matters too.

But don’t worry — we’re not going quiet. We’re gearing up for something really special.

Coming Up Next: A New 2-Month Sermon Series titled Spiritual Needs.
We’ll be exploring the needs we all carry (whether we realize it or not) and what Scripture says about how God meets them.

Expect to hear about God, baby monkeys and a little neuroscience!

And if you enjoy learning more about yourself, come with your pencils sharpened! We have a fun assessment prepared that will get you started on a more intentional journey towards a deeper relationship with Jesus.

I need other rocks

This rock is not powerful, it is not dynamic, it is not special. It's just a rock. It lives in the water at high tide, and it lives on the sand at low tide. This rock lives in a tumultuous and violent place, and yet it is at peace. I would like to be more like this rock.

The impact of this rock is incredible, but hard to notice at first. If I turn it over, it has a tiny ecosystem that clings to it and depends on it. It creates its own little tide pool, and the sand moves around it, slightly changing the current, but just enough. Just enough.

We live in a tumultuous world that changes every day. I'm constantly tempted to follow the power of the tide, but then I remember that God calls us to resist the current and humbly protect the eco-system that depends on us. It’s not a lifestyle of avoidance. It’s a lifestyle of protection.

Also. I'm way different than a rock. I can grow, and the ecosystem that depends on me grows too. Our impact is only limited by our ability to grow courageously and live wholeheartedly. Also..... I need other rocks.

This year’s Christmas gathering was so much fun! Our beautiful service was followed by a lavish Hawaiian dinner and everybody’s favorite - the white elephant gift exchange. 🎁

Haven Church is growing! We feel so blessed to continue to adopt more people into our family. Jesus continues to expand our hearts and our capacity to extend his love to others as he brings more people into our community.

It’s a beautiful thing to experience as we all participate with the God of the universe to bring his kingdom to earth as it is in Heaven. 🙏🏼

With the temps dropping, Haven Church has moved back indoors!

Harvest Community Church in Camas is generously making one of their rooms available for us to use every other Saturday at 4:00 PM.

One of the things we love about our church community is that we are portable!

“Who dares despise the day of small things?”
Zechariah 4:10

God rejoices in the bigger picture and knows small beginings lead to bigger things. So far, the “bigger things” have been our deepening love for each other and for Jesus.

Last weekend we met at the beach in Neskowin on the Oregon coast for devotions, communion, sand playing, ball tossing, wave jumping and even a little napitizer in the sun!

We greatly missed a couple of our families but our time together was so refreshing and joyful. There’s nothing better than toes in the sand and fellowship with our Jesus family! ☀️ 🌊

Sunday, August 24th was Ellie’s 18th birthday. The first decision she made as a legal adult was to be baptized.

It was a beautiful celebration of Ellie’s life and her public declaration of her deepening relationship with Christ.

We were so honored to be part of this transformational decision in Ellie’s life and to celebrate with her family as she turned 18!
