Worthy Brothers:

Our brother Knight and Pastor of St Mary Magdalen Church, Fr Preston Passos, has invited our Council to attend the following two blessings of new flag poles
• Friday, November 11th, Veteran's Day Mass at St Mary Magdalen Church (Las Posas and Crestview) at 9 am, followed by the blessing of a new flag pole
• Saturday, November 12th, Mass at St Mary Magdalen Chapel (Ventura Blvd) at 8:30 am, followed by the blessing of a new flag pole
Any active duty or retired military, are encouraged to wear their uniforms. Any Knights not in uniform, should wear their name badges. Fr Preston would love for there to be a strong and visible presence of the Knights of Columbus there, so please attend either or both of the blessings if you can.

Today marks the 10th anniversary of the canonization of the “Lily of the Mohawks,” St. Kateri Tekakwitha, the first Native American woman to be canonized by the Catholic Church. This award-winning photo by Tamino Petelinšek, published in the October 2019 issue of Columbia, features Angela Riley of the Luguna of Pueblo, N.M., holding a relic of St. Kateri during a votive Mass dedicated to the saint at the 137th Supreme Convention in Minneapolis. St. Kateri Tekakwitha, pray for us!
