đź’š Our hearts are with Mission Presbytery, the people of Kerrville and the Texas Hill Country, and especially our friends at Presbyterian Mo-Ranch Assembly following the catastrophic flooding along the Guadalupe River.

We are deeply moved by the courage and compassion of the Mo-Ranch staff, who not only ensured the safety of every guest, camper, and colleague—but are now turning their attention to helping neighbors in need, even as they face damage and disruption themselves. Their witness is a reminder that leadership is love in action.

Ferncliff stands with you. Through our Disaster Assistance Center, and in partnership with Presbyterian Disaster Assistance, Church World Service, and Gilmont’s Disaster Depot in Grace Presbytery, we join a faithful network bringing hope, healing, and practical support to communities in crisis.

Even in the darkest moments, the strength of connection and compassion lights the way.

We have some sad news to share. After looking carefully at the budget during the last meeting, the session of Calunet Church voted to recommend to the congregation that the church be closed. The congregation will meet on Sunday, December 15 to vote on closing and merging with Lawron Presbyterian Church. The session members and the congregation have prayed, worked hard on mission and fundraising events, and have done their best to serve God faithfully through the 100 years of the church’s history. We trust that God’s love and grace will continue to be with the church members and with the Calumet community no matter what the future brings.

Watch and wait for Christ’s coming!
Light candles of hope, peace, joy, and love,
remembering the promises of God with prayer.
We light the first candle of Advent in hope.
