Beloved brethren,
As we approach this sacred day of Palm Sunday, we are reminded of the triumphant entry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into Jerusalem, as recorded in Matthew 21:9:
“Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!”
This was not just a celebration—it was a declaration. The people recognized Jesus as King, yet many did not fully understand the kind of kingdom He came to establish. He did not come with earthly power, but with humility, riding on a donkey, symbolizing peace, salvation, and divine purpose.
Palm Sunday calls us to examine our hearts:
Are we welcoming Jesus as King in our lives?
Are we praising Him only in good times, or also in seasons of trials?
Are we ready to follow Him beyond the celebration into commitment?
The same crowd that shouted “Hosanna” later cried “Crucify Him.” Let us not be seasonal believers, but steadfast followers. Let our worship be genuine, our faith unwavering, and our hearts fully surrendered.
As we wave our palms, let it be more than tradition—let it be a symbol of victory, a sign of our allegiance to Christ, and a reminder that He alone is worthy of our praise.
May this Palm Sunday usher us into a deeper relationship with God, preparing our hearts for the sacrifice of Good Friday and the victory of Resurrection Sunday.
