Today our Three's learned about John the Baptist baptizing Jesus and how, by being baptized, Jesus was obeying God. Because of His obedience, the sky opened, the Holy Spirit came down like a dove, and God said He was very pleased! God was pleased when Jesus obeyed and He is also pleased when we obey.

“After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.”” Matthew 3:16-17

Today in our Three's class we learned that if we obey God and build our lives on His word we are like the wise man who built his house upon the rock. When the rain came down, his house stood firm. If we don't obey and if we don't follow His word, we are like the foolish man who built his house on the sand. When the rain came down, his house fell!

"Therefore, everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock." Matthew 7:24

We had such a fun time in our Threes class this Sunday! We learned about Samuel and how he served the Lord by helping in God's house. Our threes learned that they can be big helpers in God's house too! This week's bible verse is 1 Samuel 3:1 "Samuel served the Lord."

What a wonderful world God made! He made it for you and He made it for me! Each day that He handcrafted the different parts that make up His marvelous creation, He said it was good! This Sunday in our Three’s class, we will be beginning our Unit-"God Created the World" and learning about how God created the Sky and Land. We will also be teaching our Tots some wonderful ways in which we can rejoice and praise God for our world! Parents, If you get a moment over the weekend, take some time to share this joy with your children as you talk with them about our wonderful God and His creation! "Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!" Genesis 1:31

If you have children that are 3 years of age and older, bring them to Awaken KIDZ Wednesday, Thursday and Friday @ 7pm here at High Praise Worship Center! If they haven't already, they get to meet the Faith Force and learn about the Word of God like never before! You don't want to miss it!

This week our Twos and Pre-K classes are learning about the story of Samuel & Eli from 1 Samuel 3 &4. The main concept of this lesson is to teach our classes that "When God speaks, we listen!" Our memory verse this week is "Give no place to the devil." - Ephesians 4:27. For more information on this lesson, just take a look at the back of your children's coloring pages that are sent home on Sunday AM!

This week our Twos and our Pre-K classes are learning about Samson "The Weak Strong man" and Ephesians 6:10 which tells them to "be strong in the Lord." If you have children in this age range, we encourage you to get involved. Reread the scripture with them. Go over the memory verse. This is definitely a way to help develop in them a love of learning the word of God:)
