Can You Help One Special Camper with S’More Scholarship?
A camper in our community is so close to attending camp this summer!
Thanks to our need-based scholarship program, much of their camp tuition has already been covered. However, there is still a remaining balance of $160 standing between this camper and some summer days filled with friendship, adventure, confidence-building, and lifelong memories.
To protect the family's privacy, all camper information remains confidential. Donations made toward this special scholarship request will be applied directly to this camper's remaining balance.
If you'd like to help send one more child to camp this summer, any amount is appreciated. Together, we can make sure financial circumstances don't keep a deserving camper from experiencing the magic of camp.

On Friday and Saturday, our Helping Hands campers headed to Roanoke to work with another fantastic non-profit, . This group's mission is to bring volunteers and communities together to rebuild safe and healthy homes for persons in need in the Roanoke Valley. We are pleased to partner with this great organization!

Transportation was by our Camp Phoebe bus 🚌, thank you, Vikki!

In their off time, campers enjoyed an all things campy! Campfires, s'mores, swimming, fun & games, nature & hiking, friendship, music, dancing, and more!

Thank you ECCC - Episcopal Camps & Conference Centers for lifting Phoebe Needles Center in prayer 🙏
Our Camp Season opens Monday, June 15. We wish everyone a beautiful camp season filled with faith, friendship, peace, joy and laughter 🏕️☀️⛵️🪵🌲

This week, we lift up Camp Kanuga, The Cathedral Domain, the Diocesan Summer Camp of NWPA, EPIC Camp of Diocese of Iowa Youth, Diocese of Northern Indiana Summer Camp, Galilee Episcopal Camp and Retreat Center, and Phoebe Needles Center in our summer camp cycle of prayer 🙏🏕️

Unfathomable and Amazing God, we give you thanks for your presence with our youth. May their friendships with each other fill them with hope; may their gathering and their traveling be thin places where your love and mercy are felt in their lives today and in the years to come.

We ask this in the name of your Son, who loves us all. Amen.

Today we had the privilege of being an invited guest representing Phoebe Needles Center for the Ordination & Consecration of The Rev Karin Lee McPhail. Wonderful celebration of the 7th Bishop of The Episcopal Diocese of Southwestern Virginia. The reception that followed was beautifully arranged in the gardens of Saint John’s Episcopal Church.

We welcome The Rt. Rev. Karin MacPhail as the 7th Bishop of the Diocese of Southwestern Virginia!

This afternoon, our counselors and Staff gathered for First Aid/AED training…all part of preparing for Phoebe Needles Center Summer Camp 2026. Thank you to Billy Ferguson and Ferguson Safety Solutions for providing the training program.
