Gibeon Baptist Church will hold Homecoming service on Sunday, September 21st with worship service at 11 a.m. followed by a delicious fried chicken lunch in the Fellowship Hall and a musical at 1:30 p.m. The musical includes local musicians including our very own Chad Rice who currently serves as Worship Leader at Atlee Church in Mechanicsville. Chad will be bringing along fellow musician, Beau Hendricks, former band member of Chris Young and Corey Marshall, percussionist.

Gibeon Baptist Church, located at 48 John Deere Rd., Callao, VA (Village area) is seeking bids to have the church sanctuary painted.

The church will be open on Monday, July 21 and Tuesday, July 22, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM for interested parties to view the sanctuary in order to make a proper bid.

Bids may be mailed to Gibeon Building and Grounds, PO Box 11, Callao, VA 22435 by Monday, July 28, 2025.

Bids should include the following:
Name of company,
Bid price, including paint,
Bid price, excluding paint,
Detailed list of what is to be completed,
Estimated start date,
Estimated end date,
Names and phone numbers of three references.

Interested parties must be able to provide proof of insurance and bonding by submitting copies of paperwork to the church committee.

HOMECOMING 2024
Mark your calendars for Sunday, September 15, 2024, for Homecoming at Gibeon Baptist Church. Morning worship will begin at 11:00 a.m. with The Rev. Dr. G. C. Harbuck as our speaker. Lunch will be served immediately following worship. A musical will begin at 1:30 p.m. featuring local talent and past Gibeon members. The day’s offering will be used to make needed repairs and maintenance to our beautiful church. We invite you to attend Gibeon anytime and on September 15.
