Sunday, September 6, is the fifteenth Sunday after Pentecost. Holy Communion will be observed during worship. All are welcome to come to the table and partake of the elements.
The scripture readings for this Sunday are Psalm 119:33-40 and Matthew 18:15-20. Romans 12:9-13 is the sermon text for Pastor Michael's message, "Love in Action."

Sunday, August 30, is the fourteenth Sunday after Pentecost. God has blessed us with another beautiful week. There are some subtle signs of the future autumn season approaching. Come and join us for worship. Services begin at 8:30 a.m. There is a place for you.

The scripture readings for this week are Exodus 3:1-15, Psalm 105:4-15, and Matthew 16:21-28. The sermon text is Romans 12:3-8 and Pastor Mike's message is "Gracious Gifts of God."

It was a beautiful night to enjoy the Salem UCC Ice Cream Social. There were lots of happy faces, lively conversations, and lots of filled ice cream cravings. Thank you to everyone who came and supported our event. Thank you to everyone who baked cakes, grilled food, ran the cake walk, helped setup and cleaned up, or any other of the many jobs that make this event run smoothly. It was an evening with many blessings.

Come out and join us for the Salem Ice Cream Social. There will be plenty food and fun.

Sunday, August 23, is the thirteenth Sunday after Pentecost. God has blessed us with some summer raindrops. The rain was a welcome respite from the intense heat.
The scripture readings for this Sunday are Isaiah 51:1-6, Psalm 138, and Matthew 16:13-20. The sermon text is Romans 12:1. Pastor Mike's message for this week is "A Living Sacrifice."

Sunday, August 16 is the twelfth Sunday after Pentecost. August is already half complete. Salem is one week away from the annual ice cream social. The hot weather is a perfect time to enjoy a cold creamy treat.
