Paul tells the church of the Thessalonians to "see that none render evil for evil." Just because someone has wronged us does not give us the right to wrong them. We are commanded to love our enemies, forgive those who have wronged us, and love everyone no matter the case.

How often have we wronged God? Does He do to us as we have done to Him? No, He stands with open arms willingly giving forgiveness to all those who will call upon His name.

Our natural reaction is to revenge wrongdoing but if we walk in the Spirit and will of God, we can forgive and love just as Christ has done towards us.

It may seem at times like believers have it harder than non believers. Many times that is very true but do not envy those living in sin. Yes there is pleasure in sin for a season but their rewards will be destroyed one day.

As a believer, our rewards are not how easy we have it here on earth nor the wealth we accumulate. Our reward is higher, our reward is more precious, our reward is out of this world.

There is only death in following after sin, but in following Christ there is everlasting life!

Are you envious of sinners? Set your eyes on things eternal and let the Lord change your perspective!

When both parents attend Bible study in addition to the Sunday service, 72% of their children attend Sunday school when grown.

When only the father attends Sunday school, 55% of the children attend when grown.

When only the mother attends Sunday school, 15% of the children attend when grown.

When neither parent attends Sunday school, only 6% of the children attend when grown.

This particular study is a study of Sunday School but the numbers for church service in general follows the same pattern and the numbers are not much different.

How are you training your child?

Dad's, you may be the biggest influence in your child's spiritual life to follow God or follow the world. Do not take that lightly!

We often justify our actions. By nature we believe our way to be correct, even at times we justify it by "our heart" but it is God who truly weighs our hearts and actions.

Garrett said “Yahweh’s power of discernment goes beyond unmasking those who fool others; he even finds out those who have fooled themselves.”

Are we so wrapped up in our own ways that we have fooled ourselves?

Even the Hebrews writer tells us there is pleasure in sin for a season. Fulfilling the desires of the flesh may seem fun and exciting now but it only brings destruction in the end.
The sweetness of sin will turn into gravel. There is nothing tasty, appetizing, or appealing about gravel. But the sweetness of the things of God only because sweeter, greater, and end in eternal life worshipping our Lord and Savior.

Are you on a diet of sin or a diet of the word of God?

As Joshua said "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
