“Don’t Let Your Past define Your Purpose.
2 Corinthians 4:8-9
2 Samuel 11:2-5
Psalm 51:10-13
Luke 17:12-14

Notice in vs 14 the phrase, “as they went”. Sometimes we can’t just wait on God, we have to move forward! The lepers weren’t healed until they went forth. Move forward to whatever God has for you!

One more cleanup day to remove the very old, huge oak that has been at the road in front of New Echota for years and years and years. It had weathered much and seen many sights through the years; but, the huge black ants that ate at it's trunk and the winds that came through a couple of weeks ago was too much for it to survive. The cleanup crew was exceptional. They do not wish to have offers of additional tree clean up jobs elsewhere.

It takes a congregation willing to work!

From today’s sermon,
1 Kings 18:16-46
Elijah speaks to King Ahab and tells him that the drought is about to end. He also, challenges the prophets of Baal to see whose god is the Lord God!
They pray and chant and dance and cut themselves as they call on their god. He doesn’t answer.
Elijah calls on God with one short prayer and HE shows up. BIG! He then rounds up and slaughters the prophets of Baal. (Put your sin to death!)
Then the rain shows up and a nation returns to God! It’s what every nation needs to do!

From this mornings sermon,
“How Far is Too Far?”
Acts 9:1-31
Saul killed Christians and/or put them in prison for the chief priests. God spoke to him and saved him. He eventually became Paul and wrote 1/2 of the New Testament.
He also spoke BOLDLY about his faith, just as we are to do!

You’re never too far away from God!

Ephesians 6:10-20 Again we’re told to speak BOLDLY.

Luke 23:39-43
God even saved the thief on the third cross!
It’s never too late to give your heart!
