Humble is the condition of being poor in spirit. When we humble ourselves unto the Lord and Savior we inherit a place in heaven.

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for their's is the kingdom of heaven.

The psalmist gives us encouragement to praise the Lord even when we are feeling lowly. I have found that praise is boost of joy when I am down.

We who are in the Lord are branches of His Kingdom to bear the fruits of His mercy and grace that others may come to salvation in Him.

Wisdom and understanding are of the Lord. We begin a path to aged wisdom by first believing in the Lord. We grow in understanding all things as we increase our knowledge of Him. We will not be fully wise until we are with Him. But until then let’s grow in wisdom from Him.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: And the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

Verse of the day: “Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

Many take this verse to say that tithing is no longer necessary and they can give any amount they choose. However, the context of this passage is not about giving the tithe, it is about giving an offering to those in need. Tithes and offerings are a necessary part of the lively hood and health of a ministry that promotes the Gospel.
