So, we may have lost the battle, but we will not lose the war. Last night, the property across from our church was annexed into the city and rezoned as commercial so that a convience/liquor store could be built there. While we are disappointed in the outcome, we hold no ill will towards the city council nor its members. Each one took the time to explain the limits of their authority concerning rezoning requests. We respect their decision and appreciate their willingness to serve in their capacity. We will continue to pray for them and their families.
We will continue the battle where we can, but we also understand and fully trust in God’s will.
We will also continue to pray for our community.
At this point of decision, we want to choose the path of love. We are called to love our neighbor as ourself.
