Happy September everyone!
Thank you again to everyone who helped with our church revival. I hope you enjoyed the services as much as I did. We are now in the season of preparing for the charge conference. It will be a cluster format held on November 8th at First Houston time TBD. At the church board meeting at the end of October, the board will be voting on the recommendations of the nominations and finance committees.
At the time of this writing (August 26th) we are in our second week of our Sunday morning sermon series entitled Great Chapters from the Bible, starting a new Tuesday morning/Coffee and Conversations study on the life of David, and on Wednesday nights continuing our study on the book of Acts.
A closing. preacher joke on my way out. The ship was sinking fast. The captain called out, "Anyone here know how to pray?" The Methodist preacher stepped forward: "I do, captain." "Good," said the captain. "You pray. The rest of us will put on life preserves. We're one short."

Coffee and Conversation Bible Study will be every Tuesday,10:00am in the fellowship hall.
Bible Study will be every Wednesday, 5:30pm.in the fellowship hall. Choir practice at 6:30.
Methodist Men’s will meet September 14th, 6:00pm. at the Methodist Corner.
Methodist Women will meet September 17, 6:30pm. at the Methodist Corner.
The next fundraiser meal will be September 13th. Menu:(Chicken Spaghetti&Regular Spaghetti) Setup crew Judy Doolittle, Glenda Ruff, Raenell Moore. Cleanup crew will be Judy Doolittle, Samatha Whitten, Leslie Spivey.
The next Church Board meeting will be September 27, 4pm. in the Fellowship Hall.
There will be a Basket in the foyer to collect for the Food Boxes in Calhoun City.
