042726] The spirit of Judas needs to be stamped out from amongst us. The While we are seeking the Lord to pour out of His Spirit a new in our gatherings, we have to let Him have the preeminence when we gather.. In reality, seeing His personality as the Holy Spirit as the only one amongst us that is worthy of any praise. This would correct our attitudes, our dress, our behavior and our overall perspective. At times we are too full of ourselves and think everyone should cater to us. When it does not happen, we betray each other. Our apparent love turns to separation or isolation. If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me (Ps. 66:18).. The Judas’’ spirit is crooked and jealous of the attention poured upon the Lord and seeks to bring attention to itself; while Jezebel’s is devious, manipulative and seeks to undermine authority and take control. Paul said, and such were some of you. We have to put off the things from the old life and put on the new man (Col. 3: 5-10). No sin should control us. There should never be any sin we cannot help but committing. No sin should be cherished, excused or defended. We should renounce all unholy indulgences and lay aside every besetting sin and run with patience the race that is set before us (Heb. 12:1-3). The Lord’s hand is not short He is ready to grant us an overwhelming outpouring of the Holy Ghost and cause us to do the greater works than these Jesus spoke about. He encourages us, “His people” to turn from all wicked ways and He would in turn work wonders for us (2 Chron. 7: 14). Is Isaiah speaking to us, Your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sin have hidden His face from you, so that He does not hear (Isa. 59: 2; Prov. 28: 9)? One of the greatest hindrances of God’s outpouring and abiding presence is an unwillingness to forgive others. Some have been holding grudges, anger, and resentment for years. We are to put away all malice (1 Pet. 2: 1). And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us seem to be missing from our prayers. This hinders the free flowing of the Holy Ghost in our midst. Let us rise up and put out the spirit of Judas from our lives and live in expectant faith that God will indeed revive us. .
