Kingdom Life: Marriage & Divorce
Matthew 5:31-32
Jesus addresses divorce and raises the standard beyond legal permission to heart-level faithfulness.
“The Question Behind the Question”
Instead of debating when divorce is allowed, Jesus redirects to:
“What did God intend from the beginning?”
Background Context:
•Deuteronomy 24:1–4 allowed divorce
