Leads me in where ima walkin accordin to Your words; don’t be a lettin no sin take me over. Save me from human oppression , sos I kin be a follerin only You and what you say ta do.
(Chuckwagon Gospel Psalm 119:133-134)
After the cattle drives were pretty much establish there wasn’t a problem with finding the way. Those thousands on thousands of hoof and hide probably left a trail a blind hand could follow. What about when old Jess Chisholm had this grand idea of taking them cattle up north? I’m sure he had a hand ride ahead and scout out the best way. Marking the trails for the hands to follow with the cattle. Taking them to the best grazing areas, easiest river crossings, making their way easier than if they just headed into it the unknown.
These verses should be our daily prayer that God lead us and we follow. Only looking to Him for direction and not be letting the worldly distractions and sin pull us off the trail.
Ask God to guide your steps in accordance with God's word, and to prevent sin from ruling over you. To rescue you from human oppression so that you can obey God's word and teachings .
Father God
Your word blazes our trail in the life we lead. It marks the hazards, and pitfalls we will come up against in life, then shows us the way around them. Thank you for giving us the right trail to follow and for the best Trail Boss we could ever have.
In Jesus name
Amen
