Here's a few photos from the New Hope 2023 Homecoming. We had a really good time. Thank you to all of you that were able to come and to those that couldn't make it we missed you and hope to see you next year. Smith High School received a Texas Historical Marker and it has been installed at the old school location. A formal dedication ceremony will be held at a later date.

The New Hope Baptist Church program committee has decided to resume our Annual Homecoming worship service planned for August 20, 2023. However, the program will be during our normal morning worship service which will start at 12:00 Noon instead of the traditional late afternoon time. The earlier time will allow for us to fellowship together and catch up with family and friends that we haven’t seen in a long time due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

We have missed you all and are looking forward to seeing you all again. Please inform all of your family and friends that don’t have access to Facebook.

Bro. Reginald Smith passed away on September 21, 2022. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 1st at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, Caldwell, TX.
Services are entrusted to Daniel & Son Funeral Home 401 W 18th Street, Bryan, TX 77803.

Reginald Emmitt Smith was born January 17, 1947 to Ludie B. Sherman and A. Jackson, and was later adopted and raised by Cleveland and Maime Smith of Teals Prairie, Texas where he lived his childhood years. After careful deliberation, the New Hope Baptist Church program committee has decided to once again cancel the traditional afternoon Annual Homecoming worship service planned for August 21, 2022. However, we will have our normal morning worship service at 12:00 Noon after the Historical Marker dedication ceremony which is at 11:00 a.m. We look forward to being able to resume the annual celebration next year.
