Thanks to the generosity of many Christian Churches and donors for allowing us to have funding to reward our students with a great trip to the City Forum in Clarksville (behind Miss Lucille's) for students successful completion of courses including 3 solely Christian Classes (ALPHA, Who I am in CHRIST, and "Traveling the Bible Road " and seven other courses with a sincere Christian emphasis and witness (Cooking, Piano, Guitar, "What Made America Great", Puppetry, Personal Finance, and Chess.

Thanks one (at least) more time to the instructors who sacrificially gave of their time, expertise and effort to make a positive difference in the lives of students. Instructors included, but not limited to, Shelley Crawford, Pat Crane, Martha Davis, Becky Freeman, Holly Fuller, Ashley Garcia, Bruce Grace, Marsha Petro, Nathan Phelps, Staci Rea, Mark Thomas, Ken Traub, Loran Wagoner, Katie Sumner, and Pam Grant. Thanks also to those who supported including Greta Smith and Kandy Garrett. Twenty Eight students completed almost 50 classes.

Twenty three (23) students were able to attend the rewards trip yesterday (Saturday 11th) at the City Forum in Clarksville. They enjoyed unlimited use of 7-8 activities as well as certain arcade games. They enjoyed pizza for lunch. Thanks so much to those Volunteers of The Way who accompanied our students to City Forum ---Becky Freeman, Ashley Garcia, Bruce Grace, GG Moore, Ken Traub, and Carl Heckmann. Thanks to Ken for driving one of the two buses to Clarksville.

Please see below photos of some of our students and adults serving and/or enjoying the day. It was the first trip for many of our students.

OPENED JANUARY 12TH 2026

PRAISE THE LORD FOR THE LIBRARY HE HAS GIVEN US AND FOR THOSE WHO FOLLOWED HIS CALL AND WORKED SO HARD TO BRING THE DREAM TO FRUITION!!!

Note: Ten students visited the Library today (Monday) and about half checked out books.

The library portion of the new "Truth" building arguably required more preparation than any other ministry to be in the building. In the near future, it will possibly be the most used ministry in the "Truth". GOD is going to use this Library to make a positive difference in the lives of students and their families for generations to come, if CHRIST tarries. The team had to not only obtain and assemble furniture (which had long delivery times), but collect, record, label and shelve books, DVD's, CD's, magazines, etc. Please see below photos. They have come so far in such a short period of time, but the best is still to come as other services/products are included, expanded, and improved.

This Christian/faith based Library will be open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 2 PM to 5:30 PM. Pastors and members of local churches will have from 2 PM-3:30 to select items for their Church ministries (especially Youth) and personal enjoyment. The hours of 3:45 (after daily devotion) to 5:15 PM are reserved for The Way's Youth to enjoy all the services offered.

There are still several significant needs!! Please prayerfully consider how you may be able to assist.

VOLUNTEERS: The Library area must have at least 2 volunteers present at all times as per safety and policy. If you (or other like minded people of Christian faith could volunteer to do one day per week, OR even to be on standby as an alternate, it would be a great blessing --for The Way's students and for those serving. If you are already volunteering from 3-5:30 PM on those days, PLEASE consider coming at 2 PM to assist when/as needed.

BOOKS/DVD'S/CD'S, CHRISTIAN MAGAZINES, ETC. : As you can see from below photos, we still have a lot of room for Christian teen materials. If you have items at home you would like to donate or to purchase other items, we would appreciate. Please remember, the majority of our items should be "youth (teen ) appropriate/friendly". We want to have some older children's items e.g. "Veggie Tales", for our younger middle school students.

EQUIPMENT: The team made a recent excellent decision to make small portable DVD players available for students to use while at the library or to check out along with Christian DVD's to take home. If you have any such portable players, you no longer need, please consider donating.

PUBLICITY: Please let your Churches and friends know about the library, services and availability.

If you would like to volunteer, assist in other ways or have questions, please contact one of the following.

Thanks to the LORD for the wonderful servants who make the Clothes Closet such a blessing to so many students --15-20 most weeks, who are able to select up to 5 items each week. The team lead by Ramona Alexander, including Ann Burnam, Dale Beverly, Gail Oliver, Pauletta Calhoun and Ella Chalfin (who does most on site devotions) not only help students gain self-confidence and worth, but have led several students to CHRIST in the past 2 years. GOD has richly blessed us with donated teen clothing. Above picture is what the team will see when they open the door on Tuesday (which has been designated, out of necessity, as a "workday". PLEASE CONSIDERING OFFERING TO HELP WITH OUR CLOTHES CLOSET ---EVEN IF ONLY ON WORK DAYS. SISTER RAMONA WILL COORDINATE WITH YOU TO FIT YOUR SCHEDULE.

Thanks to former Sheriff Ray Burham (right) for donating two bicycles to The Way to be given to students, we selected L-R Collin and Gavin Porter (after inquiring of several of you). Accompanying Mr. Burnam is Officer Clinkenbeard of the KSP.
When Mr. Burnam was Sheriff, he hosted at least 2 giant bicycle (75-100) giveaways at CHRISTmas. He is offering to attempt to do so again, by soliciting area businesses, if there is a storage area where bicycles can be stored until CHRISTmas. If you have or know of such a place, please let me know. WE also need a place to store a large heavy platform used in the "Alice In Wonderland" theatrical production.

Thanks so much to Sister Martha Davis for doing such a Great job of teaching a class entitled "Traveling The Bible Road". Sister Martha, a life long very well known educator in Trigg County, held perhaps our best organized class. Sister Martha used a variety of learning techniques and materials to teach the students an overview of the Bible and some of the sfamous people written about in GOD's word. Pictures of some of her students follow. There were 4 other classes of which I failed to garner photos.

"What Made America Great", instructed by Dr. Loran Wagoner, instilled a knowledge of the truth in how our nation was formed and the accomplishments and sacrifices of its citizens which has made the USA the most successful and strongest nation in the history of the world. No doubt these students (Steven, Zachariah, James, Kingston, and Lillian) will have a life long appreciation of and pride in our County thanks to Loran and "guest instructor" Nathan Phelps.

"Personal Finance For Teens". Thanks to Shelley Crawford and Alicia Garcia, instructors, and congratulations to the graduates (Amy, Allisa, and Gabby) of this abbreviated course.

"ALPHA", A dynamic course, taught by Marsha Petro and Staci Rea, helped students (Keyshawn and Olivia) to grow in their knowledge of the faith by questioning and coming to understand why we believe what we believe and how to use it. Thank you, Marsha and Staci.

"BEGINNING GUITAR" lead by Bruce Grace who has taught numerous students from The Way to play and enjoy the guitar. Mark Thomas once again assisted Bruce, during WATW, to teach intermediate guitar. We greatly appreciate these two men of GOD as do the graduates of their most recent class (Beckett, Chandler, Zachariah, and Lillian.

The Way is already planning its spring semester, which will bring back some of the most popular courses and introducing some equally exciting new ones.

Praise the LORD for a successful fall semester of the 2025-26 School Year. It was also our first time using the new education/discipleship building ("The Truth") that GOD has provided. Twenty nine (29) students completed 45 classes and earned a trip on 10 January to the City Forum in Clarksville. Ten (10) students who completed solely Christian classes have also earned a trip to an Oak Grove restaurant on 17 January.

As proud as we are of our students, we are even more proud of our volunteers who sacrificed their time and resources to teach students skills and values that will last a lifetime.
