**"It is good to praise the Lord and make music to your name, O Most Hight, proclaiming your love in the morning and you faithfulness at night." (Psalm 92:1-2)

--Gratitude isn't just a response; it's rhythm. Psalm 92 tells us to praise God morning and night -- beginning and ending our days with thankfulness. Why? Because it resets our hearts.

--Daily thankfulness grounds you in truth. It shifts your focus from what's lacking to what's lasting. When you make it a practice -- not just a feeling -- you'll notice how your mood changes, your relationships improve, an your faith grows stronger.

--Start small. Before you check your phone in the morning, whisper a thank You. As your day ends, reflect on where you saw God's hand. These simple acts make gratitude not just something you do -- but part of who you are.

--Lord, teach me to make thankfulness a daily habit. I want to live with a heart full of praise. Amen.

Studying for my message on Sunday and came across this quote...

"Being blessed isn't about what I have -- it's about who I am when I'm aligned with God." - PMJ

Read that several times through and let it sit with your soul.

Need someplace to come and feel like part of a family? Need someplace that won't judge who you are or where you've been but will love you anyway? Need someplace to just sit in the presence of God and feel His people praying over you and your life? Then come Sunday morning to the Cadiz First Church of God and let us love on you...and ply you with baked goods and coffee lol. Service starts at 10:30am with fellowship time at 10am.

**"Do everything without grumbling or arguing..." (Philippians 2:14)

--Complaining may feel natural, but it robs us of joy. Philippians 2:14 gives us a simple but challenging command: do everything without grumbling. Why? Because complaint shifts our focus to lack. Praise shifts it to abundance.

--What if today, instead of airing every frustration, you turned it into a moment of gratitude? Instead of saying, "This is so annoying," say, "Thank You. God, for the strength to get through it." That simple exchange has power.

--Praise isn't denial -- it's defiance. It refuses to let negativity take the lead. It reminds your heart that God is still in control. Today, practice replacing complaints with praise. Your joy will follow.

--Father, when I'm tempted to complain, help me choose praise instead. Teach me to speak words that reflect gratitude. Amen.

For the month of August we made it a point to pray for our kids. From ages birth to Senior in High School (18) we posted their names and made sure that over the course of the month, we prayed for them. We had over 40 names posted this year from all over the country.

August is a big month with kids going back to school and going to school is stressful for our kids on several fronts and so we wanted to make sure that we prayed for them and covered them in the power of the Lord.

Next year I can't wait to see how many kids we get posted.
