Covenant Hills has gone through many changes since it started in 1989 as a Chrisitan summer camp in the mountains of Vermont. In 2015 it was decided to close down camping and move towards a new future. A group of people comprised of the board of managers and volunteers have worked hard to keep Covenant Hills going. This past week the New England Conference of UMC authorized the unconditional return of all 270.5 acres of land and all buildings and structures of Covenant Hills to the Nulhegan band of the Abenaki people. The New England Conference also authorized the conference trustees, beginning September 15th, 2024 to work with the appropriate Tribal and State entities to accomplish the transfer of the proper deeds, funds, leases, reports, and other details to the Nulhegan band of the Abenaki. The board of managers will be there working with the trustees throughout this process.

We are so thankful for all the people and groups who have invested time, energy, money and love into Covenant Hills over the past 35+ years. We will have a formal goodbye and decommissioning of our beloved space in the future.

Just a couple more days until we are gathering at camp once again for morning worship, food, and community. We hope to see lots of familiar faces and meet some new people. June 30th worship is at 10.

Our beloved camp has some changes coming. You can read about them at the link below and there are a couple listening sessions this upcoming week to discuss them. Monday May 20th 7pm for Vermont folks and Wednesday May 22nd 7pm for everyone. We would love to hear as many voices as possible.

Come join us today for our work day cleaning up around camp. There will be people until 3 and we will have both outside and inside work.

We had a beautiful and successful day for water turn on. Next Saturday, May 11th we have a work day for anyone who wants to come join us. We will be there from 9 until 3 and welcome all who are available. Bring a lunch and a raincoat and come spend the day in this sacred space.

Save the date for a day at camp!
June 30th we will be having an open house with worship starting at 10am led by Jill Colley Robinson. Afterwards we will have games, crafts, and food. We hope to see a lot of people at camp enjoying themselves and reconnecting.
