It’s official! Appointments have been set at the conclusion of Annual Conference, and we are excited to welcome Pastor Lauren Grosskopf to Cabot United Methodist Church!

We give thanks for this new season of ministry and look forward to all that God has in store for our church family. Join us in welcoming Pastor Lauren as she prepares to begin her ministry with us.

Tonight, we had the joy of celebrating one of our own!

Grace Rogers was commissioned as a Provisional Elder in The United Methodist Church during the Ordination and Commissioning Service at Annual Conference. We are incredibly proud of Grace and all that God has done in and through her journey.

Grace grew up here at Cabot United Methodist Church, and it has been a blessing to watch her answer God’s call to ministry and faithfully pursue that calling. Tonight marks an important milestone, and we give thanks for her dedication, leadership, and servant heart.

Did you know that Cabot United Methodist Church has a Medical Supply Closet available to serve our community?

We currently have a large inventory of:
• Walkers
• Canes
• Depends
• Bedside commodes
• Crutches

At this time, we do not have any wheelchairs available, but we would gladly accept donations of wheelchairs if you have one to share. We are also currently unable to accept additional bedside commodes until we reduce our existing inventory.

Her message was a powerful reminder that at the heart of our faith is love—God’s love for us and our call to love one another. In a world that often feels divided, Bishop Merrill offers a hopeful vision of what it means to follow Christ with grace, compassion, and courage.

What a special day at Cabot United Methodist Church!

Today we welcomed two new members into our church family, celebrated with a potluck honoring all the generations represented in our congregation, and spent time reflecting on the many blessings God has given our church.

It was also a bittersweet day as we said goodbye to our beloved pastor, Jacob Lynn. Over the past three years, Jacob has faithfully led our congregation with wisdom, compassion, and a deep love for Christ. Under his leadership, our church has grown, strengthened, and become a vibrant community filled with faith, hope, and LOVE.

While we will miss him greatly, we know God is calling him to a new chapter at First United Methodist Church in Jonesboro. They are gaining an exceptional pastor, and we know they will be blessed by his ministry just as we have been.

Thank you, Pastor Jacob, for your service, your friendship, and the countless ways you have impacted our church family. We pray God’s blessings on you and your family as you begin this new journey.
