Dear Friends,
With restructuring of Hayward Parish Cluster, St. Ann will no longer have an office in Cable, so I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you. You have been like a family to me for over 6 years and I loved you with my whole heart. You have welcomed me with opened arms and hearts when our beloved Sr. Virginia retired, and I will be forever grateful for the trust you put in me, kindness and support you have shown me over the years. Together we have welcomed many new members and helped a lot of people in need. In the past few months, you have opened up your hearts and wallets to the cause so near and dear to me and together we were able to save many lives on a battlefields in Ukraine. As I will be opening a new chapter in my life, please remember me in your prayers as I will be keeping you in mine. May God Bless you…..

Priest Retreat

Let’s pray for Fr. David, Fr. Karun, Fr. Dean, Fr. Greg and all of our Diocesan priests, who will be gathering for their annual retreat this week, that they may enjoy their time together and be rejuvenated in their commitment to boldly live the Gospel. Communion Services will be offered at the regular Mass times Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week at St. Joseph and St. Ann. The Friday noon Mass will occur as normal.

First Official Mass at St. Francis Solanus—August 24

Father Karun will be celebrating his first official Mass in our new cluster on Wednesday, August 24, at 8:00 am at St. Francis Solanus. If some of our parishioners could attend this Mass in support of Father, we know he would be so appreciative and excited to see you there.

With a heavy heart we would like to inform you that our very long time beloved parishioner Oscar Mattle passed away last week. We will always remember his love for life, unbeatable energy, kind and gentle spirit. Rest In Peace dear Oscar!!! There will be no public funeral, please remember him and
his family in your thoughts and prayers.

We are so grateful to everyone who donated lifesaving supplies and money to such an amazing cause. 4 boxes were safely delivered to Wheeling, IL to be shipped to a Dominican Monastery in Warsaw, Poland and from there will go to Fastiv, Ukraine. Special thanks to St. Ann and St. Joseph’s parishioners, Cable UCC and all the Catholic Herald readers for their incredible generosity ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏 May God Bless you !
